Here is a deal from a recent article... I would do this. I think Mitchell Robinson is going to be a very good player. RJ Barrett has the potential to be a star. And yes please on all of those picks.

New York Knicks Receive: Bradley Beal

Washington Wizards Receive: RJ Barrett, Mitchell Robinson, Frank Ntilikina, 2021 1st Round Pick, 2021 1st Round Pick (via DAL), 2023 1st Round Pick

Immanuel Quickley is enticing too.

I really like John Collins in ATL too.

Beyond that, admittedly, I haven't taken a deep dive into other trade scenarios.

That deal makes no sense for the Knicks.  They would be trading every asset they have for 1 star player, entering into a very weak FA class.  That trade doesn't make them any better.

John Collins' rookie contract is expiring.  Based on Russell Westbrook's terrible contract I think the Wizards need to be targeting a high quality player with multiple years of cheap salary left.

Those players would include:

C James Wiseman, Warriors

SF Michael Porter Jr, Nuggets

SF Deandre Hunter, Hawks

Those are the 3 I've seen the most.

I actually just bet 100 on the wizards tonight to cover +6.5

cominf off a 4 game win steak with beating some decent teams facing the Lakers without Schroeder or AD, or at least not losing by 7 I have to think the chances are good!

this FanDuel Sportsbook has me hooked. Can’t wait to use it for football

Wiz ARE PLAYING DEFENSE!

Brooks is finally figuring how to rotate his bigs and use them effectively.

Apparently Russ is really challenging these guys in practice.

And probably the biggest thing is he appears to be healthy. One simple way to tell that is he's getting to the FT line a lot... so he's not shying away from contact. I can't believe he only shot one 3 pointer last night.

Is Bertans a bust? Two good games in a row followed by two duds.

Deni with a big, late 3. And the young buck grabs boards!

Eh, I mean most of us here thought the contract was awful from the start. He's not a "bust" I guess, but he is certainly overpaid. Just a guy that greatly capitalized on a contract year.

Yeah, it's been real good to me. I've pocketed some serious cash already. I'm on a cold streak right now, but I should bounce back.

I’m debating on putting the winnings on them again tonight, depends if Russ plays for me. Wiz are +12.5 right now. Earlier it was +10

if Russ plays I don’t think they lose by more than 12 to be honest with the way they are playing right now, gonna wait it out and see if he plays. Could be beyond +12.5 by time the game comes

Just put the 258 I have on them again tonight with the news that Lou Williams is out.

as long as we don’t lose by more than 11 I win 493 total.

only reason I did it is bc I haven’t spent any of my own money yet, it’s litterally money I got for signing up so I have my fingers crossed on this one!

Yikes!

Again, too late for this old man to watch. But it looks like Deni had a rough one... 3 fouls in 4 minutes... 0 points.

I know a single game plus/minus is a bit flawed. But Russ was a -26. Next closest player was a -16 (Lopez). PG had a nice game for the Clips... and they banged their 3s... 19 of 38. My guess is Russ was a bit tired and the Clips took advantage on offense. Still like Russ' continued improvement in the assist/turnover category. He has been turning it over too much earlier in the year.

Mo was very good last night. Brooks is finally getting a feel on which big to play and for how long.

Bertans shot 4 shots?

And I'll say it... I'm a bit worried Rui is becoming a complacent player. Not good. [I may have said this before...]

I think he's exactly where he was always going to be. His ceiling, to me, was always the at best third wheel guy - 14/6 seems incredibly appropriate for what I expected of him. He's no bum like TBJ has always been to me, but we also need to temper expectations for what Rui's ceiling is as well.

Agreed, Rui is a #3 player and I’ve never really seen a problem with that.

Wizards handing out L’s right now! Brooks has finally found some rotations that work! I would argue it still took him too long to figure our Mo should be starting over Lopez & Len but better late than never, and it took him too long to give Matthews a chance to start, but again, better later than never!

l ls GIF

Beal: 33 pts (2-5 from 3, need to see that every night) 4 rebs, 4 asts, 1 stl

Hachimura: 20 pts, (1-4 from 3, I really want to see him hit at least 1 three every night) 5 rebs, 2 asts

Westbrook: 16 pts (6-17, 1-3 from 3, Russ is better than this, it’s frustrating when he’s barely missing make able shots & missing free throws) 10 rebs, 10 asts

Neto: 15pts, (1-3 from 3) 2 rebs, 4 asts, 5 steals

Lopez: 10 pts, 3 rebs

Matthews: 6 pts

Wagner: 6 pts

TBJ: 4 pts

Avdija: 2 pts

Neto had an awesome game! I hope when Ish comes back that Brooks continues to go w/ Neto. Neto has all the energy that Ish has, but Neto is a better shooter. He was great on both ends of the floor and as you can see from his 5 steals he was very active on the defensive end and made a lot of plays that don’t show up on the box score just like Matthews, Wagner, Avdija & TBJ.

The bottom 4 guy’s stat sheets don’t look impressive but if you watched the game you saw they had high energy, played solid D and hustled and that’s what you want/need out of your role players if they aren’t scoring.

In the beginning of the season we weren’t getting enough of that, but when Brooks switched up the line ups to start Matthews & Wagner two high energy defensive minded players, it changed the trajectory of this team.

We all know that Avdija & TBJ have more natural talent than a guy like Matthews but his effort on defense is relentless and he’s a reliable 3 point shooter, he’s the 3 & D we’ve needed. Although I do wish he was slightly bigger as a SF on D but, we can’t change that so I’m just happy that we got him and he’s delivering.

Avdija & TBJ look so much better with the second unit and both look better when they can initiate the offense some or create, and neither are able to do that if they’re playing SF w/ Beal & Westbrook on the court together bc Beal & Westbrook are both ball dominant guards who take a majority of the shots. It’s nice that Brooks finally is getting these guys some run on the second unit with either Beal or Westbrook but not both because we’re seeing more creativity out of them there.

Just now, Skinsin2013 said:

Better rotations

Improved defense

Getting to the line more

Less threes

All stand out during this hot streak.

For sure, which makes the first month of the season so frustrating because I knew they were capable it’s just Brooks had to put the right rotations together and to convince his guys to drive to the hoop more, share the rock and quit settling for 3s, even Beal.
