Regression wasn't good that's for sure. Kyrie is also falling apart. Both of these guys’ bodies are breaking down as they approach 30. Neither are aging well. Wtf, seriously 😒 lol 😂 And, If they can move mahinmi’s contract, they can keep both of them. Also, it’s clear that as long as Beal is on the team, they’re not going to tank. You may end up being right. What else would they have to move with Mahimni's expiring contract? Parker can walk (team won't take the $20M option) and then re-sign with Wiz. Portis could be had if they moved Mahimni. Still, what does that leave this team as? A fringe playoff team.

Exactly, a fringe playoff team. Which is why they should let both of those average at best players walk. They dumped Porter because they overpayed him, why would they turn around and overpay to keep two players that aren’t as good as Porter?

Probably trade their 1st round pick in 2020 with Mahinmi to dump that contract. I don't think they're just a fringe playoff team if they can retain Sato, Bryant, Portis and Parker. Maybe that's me just being my typical optimist self, but if Beal continues to be a 25 pt plus scorer, Sato a double double guy, Parker and Portis combine for 30 pts and 15-20 rebs and Bryant plays like a double double guy at center then, they're a playoff team in my eyes. Then, Wall comes back in 2020 with the young talent we've acquired is developed better for that year.

Portis isn't average, he's a good big whos still young. He's a double double machine. And, he’s able to knock down 3’s, he's a good rebounder and defender. Parker isn't a good defender but he's a double double machine who sometimes gets near a triple double. He's a good scorer, good rebounder and is explosive. He can play point forward, just like Troy Brown, Jr. can. I don't know why you don't keep him if you can move Mahinmi’s contract to make the cap space. Next year then would be a one year prove it year for Parker. If he plays well then, we should try to keep him long term, if not, cya. He was regressing here in DC, he wasn't being aggressive enough, taking his shots or creating his own shots while playing with two alpha male guards. I wish him well, but I'm happy we have a stretch 4/5 now who played good defense, rebounds and can score 15-17 ppg and is a few years younger than Otto and a point forward type who's more aggressive than Otto on offense in Parker. It couldn’t possibly be that Porter wasn’t being used correctly?

Well he’s the #1 option in Chicago. He’s getting more touches so, more chances to score. Here he was the 3rd option, sometimes 4th. There’s only one basketball. What do you do differently? He was our 3rd best offensive player and our two best offensive players were ball dominant guards. It was obvious as far back as last Jan that he was the one they needed to move to get a versatile big like Bobby Portis and some cap flexibility. Truthfully, they did this trade a year too late IMO. Portis should’ve been on our team all year and if we had traded for him last trade deadline, maybe we get a 1st round pick or a young bench player like Denzel Valentine out of it too. Wrong, a guard who’s battled serious injuries the last three years but when healthy is a 20 plus pt, 10 plus assist and 4 to 5 reb PG. that’s not overrated, what sucks is his knee injuries of the previous two seasons and now his heel/achillies injury. What sucks is they gave this guy a supermax. What sucks is he showed up to camp fat with said injuries. What sucks is he spends too much time at the night clubs. What sucks is he flips gang signs during games. What sucks is he throws teammates under the bus. What sucks is he says he spoon-feeds players. But the Wiz find more space, and better shots, without him. What sucks is his mid-range game. What sucks is he constantly whines to the refs and is near the tops in the league in techs. What sucks is he constantly took plays off. What sucks is yelled FU at his coach during a practice when the coach challenged him. What sucks is he doesn't get a long with the better player on the team. What sucks is he declared he wanted to be an MVP when he should have been thinking about being a great teammate and winning more games. What sucks is his Instagram meltdowns. What sucks is his teammates go out for movie nights, while in the road, and he's never there. What sucks is he had great games, that he wanted to get up for (see Lakers), but sleepwalked against sub-.500 teams. That took about two minutes to write. John Wall sucks. And his contract may be the worst in all of sports. Edited February 15, 2019 by Skinsin2013
