Went looking for knowledgeable football peeps / info.  Think I was on some MSN sports board or something like that at some point and it was painful.  Even with my low football IQ I knew it was crap.

Sounds like you don't credit yourself enough with football knowledge.

New England FF bretheren...I need your help. I have a bachelor party coming up this October and my brother in law (the one getting married) decided on Boston for the location. The only direction we were given is that he wants to tour Fenway and do the Sam Adams Brewery.

1) What area/where should we stay? We'll probably have about 8 guys give or take and we'd be looking for an area very close to the night lift.
2) Any Bar/Night life spots we should hit up and or streets that we could pull off a solid bar crawl?
3) Any recommendations on places we HAVE to hit for a solid dinner? I'm thinking the surf and turf in Boston should be solid, with some chowda to start
4) Anything you guys think i'm missing?

I would check Airbnb for places to stay. Not sure what your budget is but for that many dudes its probably the most economical option and there are some pretty sweet spots. As for bars, what age group are you looking for? if its 25-40 the financial and entertainment districts by Gov Center is probably best. If its the college crowd you'd probably want to be around Huntington Street and Northeastern. I really like the Boston Beerworks right by the TD Garden and Howl at the Moon. Boston isnt quite known for its fish IMO, but dont let that stop you. Fire and Ice is "fun" but not my scene. Food is decent there. If you want a great dinner, walk around the north end and pick a place or go to the top floor of the Prudential Building. If you are looking for just a solid place, the Beerworks has good food or you could do Fannuel Hall; its basically one giant hall way of local food joints. If you like art at all the Museum of Fine Arts is dope and a chill place the work off a hang over. If you can sail, you can rent a boat on the Charleston River. Trinity Church is sick if there is any interest in architecture. Newbury Street deserves a stroll (first newbury comics is there). There is a a not so well known park at the end of Huntington Ave behind the Stop and Shop where you can see the entire city, the name of it escapes me.

Looks like the Patriots got another total steal in Martez Ivey.  They signed him today.  I liked him a lot on Florida especially if he is moved to OG in the NFL but has RT potential as well.  Given time to develop they will get yet another steal at OL with a player that kind of fell through the cracks.

1. Airbnb somewhere nice in Boston to make it memorable. I'd say the Back Bay area if you can find a place.

2. Encore is a brand spanking new, very nice casino in Everett next to the TD Garden, (where the Celtics and Bruins play and you guys can tour probably). Beyond that, do Duck Boat tours, check out Somerville, go to Newbury Street, Financial District, North End for some great Italian flavor, and check out the Waterfront area. Also, South Boston has gone through a lot of construction and is really fun too. Even Dorchester has improved. The city has so much great food and construction going on that in like 20 years Boston will feel like one of the bigger cities in the US like New York.

3. Most places, go with your gut on this one. North End has great Italian and a cool feel. But you could just as easily find a little Asian hole in the wall down some old random street and it will be just as satisfying.

4. Drive outside of the city too. There is do much history in towns like Lexington, Concord, Cambridge, et cetera. You should have a lot of fun.

I started off with the same advice. It just was amusing to see.

I have only ever been to Boston once (although it is my surname so I have that going for me). My host (an ex colleague of my dad) showed me around the famous film ant tv bars of Boston - so the one where they did Good Will Hunting and then the Cheers bar. They were good fun. Faneuil Hall was good as someone else has said. The Fenway Tour is ace - I went not knowing so much about the Red Sox but there is so much lore there. That time of year the Fall foliage will be great so you cant ake a drive outside the city as well.

Stole from 9ers;

Want to hear a really insane stat? The Houston Texans have played 272 games as a franchise. Tom Brady has played 269 games as a quarterback. If Tom Brady retired today, and if the Texans would go undefeated for the next seven seasons...Tom Brady would still have more victories than the Houston Texans franchise.
