WR Brandon Marshall to be released

Personally, I say convert Engram to wide receiver and have him take over the #2 spot. Let Ellison play the traditional TE role.

I like the mismatches he creates as a TE more. I do think we should run more 2 TE formations. It would help out with blocking, and you could always motion him out to the slot depending on what the defense gives you. Engram is a pretty unique talent and I expect to see Shurmur use him creatively. I hope so, at least.

He would still get mismatches as a WR. I think our team is better if we have Engram at WR2 and Ellison at TE than if we had Roger Lewis at WR2 and Engram at TE.

I'd rather run 2 TE sets with Engram/Ellison than have Roger Lewis on the field. It would create problems from defense and make it very difficult for them to predict what we're doing.

I agree. Does anyone know if Shurmur likes 12 personnel? I mean, he has to run it more than Mcadoo, so that's a step in the right direction at least. In MIN, Theilen and Diggs got a lot of action and that was it as far as WRs. I think we will see something similar here with OBJ/Shepard + Engram, Ellison, and Barkley.
