Notes by week:

  1. Dallas @ Carolina (4:25 PM ET, FOX) I love opening up on the road.
  2. NY Giants @ Dallas (8:20 PM ET NBC) Giants open with a tougher opponent. So we get them a little bit banged out.
  3. Dallas @ Seattle (4:25 PM ET FOX) Seattle has a Monday game the week before at Chicago. So they get no advantage to being home. Plus - I love playing at their house.
  4. Detroit @ Dallas (1 PM ET FOX) Detroit plays SNF the week before against the Patriots.
  5. Dallas @ Houston (8:20 PM ET NBC)* Hardly a road game for us. Plus the Texans had to travel the week before against a division rival.
  6. Jacksonville @ Dallas (4:25 PM ET CBS) Jacksonville is coming into this week already being on the road against the Chiefs so they have back-to-back road games. We have a SNF game the week before in Houston.
  7. Dallas @ Washington (4:25 PM ET CBS) Washington plays against the Panthers at home early. So They should be pretty rested when we travel to them.
  8. Great Bye Week
  9. Tennessee @ Dallas (8:15 PM ET CBS) Titans also come off a bye. So no added advantage. But two weeks before they were in Europe.
  10. Dallas @ Philadelphia (8:20 PM ET NBC)* Philadelphia gets their bye week before we come into their house. Advantage them. But two weeks before they were in Europe.
  11. Dallas @ Atlanta (1 PM ET FOC) Back to back road games for us. And our last game is a late Sunday Night Game. So we will be short changed. Falcons are coming off of two consecutive road weeks. So it kinda helps.
  12. Washington @ Dallas (Thanksgiving, 4:30 PM ET FOX)* Redskins played at home the week before. And at the same early slot. This is a Thursday Night Game (Thanksgiving). No real advantage aside from being home.
  13. New Orleans @ Dallas (8:20 PM ET FOX/NFLN)* Saints also played on Thanksgiving (also at home). So no extra rest advantage here.
  14. Philadelphia @ Dallas (4:25 PM ET FOX) This is VERY nice for us. While Philadelphia plays at home - they play against the Redskins on Monday. And then have to travel to us. So we get additional rest. Makes up for week 10. Plus this starts a consecutive road game leg.
  15. Dallas @ Indianapolis (1:00 PM ET FOX) Colts are coming off of consecutive away games. Week before they play Houston. So travel advantage for them is negated.
  16. Tampa Bay @ Dallas (1:00 PM ET FOX) Tampa is coming off a road game. So we get them as their second consecutive road game.
  17.  Dallas @ NY Giants (1:00 PM ET FOX) Giants had to play at the Colts the week before. So will have to travel back.

Honestly. This is pretty nice for us. We get screwed over with our Bye week and our Thanksgiving game not giving us an advantage but we only have consecutive away games and several times we face an opponent coming off of a road game as well. This is very favorable. Great by week.

AND we likely only get bad winter weather against the Giants the last week.

8-8 or 9-7 at best. Until they show otherwise

I said last off season we would do 9-7 or 8-8, i was called crazy (not so crazy afterall eh?)

But! I did that after the draft and once camo had begun, with enough info on the roster and our opponents to make an educated prediction.

Point is..you should do the same. Never know what Indy will look like in 3 months, or NY, Seattle, Carolina..hell, or Dallas. Cant make an accurate prediction now without knowing the final touches and early injuries and early camp moves.

I honestly don’t see that schedule as overly challenging. It’s not terrible. And, if we had better coaching, I could see double digit wins pretty easily out of it.
