Ravens sign Willie Snead to offer sheet, Saints don't match offer.

Does this mean the Ravens aren't going WR in the draft?  Michael Crabtree, John Brown and Willie Snead might not be the best group of receivers in the NFL by any stretch, but they're at least passable.  Maybe that is the group they're going with?

Is it passable though?

It seems like a typical Ravens' group. Names that people know because they were effective at one point, but the teams they flashed with have all passed on them. The Saints went after Meredith because they obviously preffered him to Snead. The approach is just dumpster diving.

No, it's not at all. Crabs is good and Snead will be fine, but Brown had problems with his sickle cell in Arizona.. the 2nd half of the season for him in Baltimore? Yeah, might as well call that an 8 week rental. I don't see him being available once weather turns frigid.

Can't really argue against this.  It may appear passable, but so did Jeremy Maclin and Mike Wallace last off season and that didn't turn out well.

Don't hate it. Crabtree/Brown/Snead is as good a WR group we could've expected with our situation.

Not only that, but I do believe that it is a considerably better grouping then the Ravens have had for a while. It's not great, but I think it gets them out of the bottom 2-3 basement of the position, possibly.
