John232
I couldn't finish the 7th round, I also left off some pretty big names in earlier rounds, someone like Jordan Lasley should go between 2-4 and I just completely blanked on him. Here's the mock: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bNrNXwKE7DgvfjGUCeLsTuwnOMoJnRXq0c0BCiha5-Y/edit#gid=0 . Life picked up and couldn't dedicate the time to finish it. Key Trades: I have Buffalo trading up to grab a QB. I have us trading down with Miami, grabbing a couple 4's in the process. I started this mock weeks ago, if I were to do it over again, I'd probably mock Saquon to the Giants (if I'm doing what I think actually happens). If you want to hear my logic behind these picks, I'd be more than willing to share, but I just wanted to get the mock out so I don't have to keep thinking about it. Anyways, here's the picks. 1. Harold Landry, DE 2. Courtland Sutton, WR 3. Fred Warner, LB 3. Quentin Meeks, CB 4. Alex Cappa, OT 4. Duke Ejiofor, DE 4. Scott Quessenbury , IOL 5. John Kelly, RB 6. LB/DE/SAM - Leon Jacobs 7. (projecting) Ian Thomas TE 7. (projecting) SS - Cole Reyes
oldman9er
Plenty of good in here to like. Some values are off, imo, but no one's draft board is identical, amirite? Lasley could definitely fall quite a ways, if teams feel he has too many character issues to take on. That, and a very thick WR class could put him anywhere from rd 4-7. First 2 picks would be great. I would be surprised if Sutton falls out of the top 40. While I do like Warner, I don't know if he can battle through traffic and disengage like I'd want our MLB to do. Meeks is a strong pick there. Ejiofor, I would expect to be going in day 2, so getting him in rd 4 here would be amazing. Cappa's okay, but I am skeptical if he could remain outside. Scott Q is good value here. Jacobs has some nice versatile skills, good add there. Ian Thomas should be gone on day 2, but again, we'll see. I don't know a thing about the RB or SS you selected.. which tells me to go back to work... draft research work, that is.

Yeah, this is the problem when you using multiple data bases with polar opposite analysis. Ian Thomas on some sites is a day 3 pick, but I've seen him get mocked right up there in the late second, early third range. Sutton is another guy on a re-do I probably don't have dropping to us. Also worth noting, I agree on Warner. In my mind, Warner is slotted as strictly as a WLB. I don't want him getting near MLB for at least a couple years, if ever. I could see Duke going in Day 2, but it really depends on what type of Edge prospects are needed for each team. Meaning, if teams need hard LEO's, or 2 point stance edge's, then he's getting passed. He shouldn't be in a wide 9, he shouldn't be standing up and he should not be getting kicked inside. He's not super versatile as a DE and he's not super athletic. This is why I could see him dropping. All that said, I love his tape and motor. Like I said in the draft thread, out of all the Edge's i've scouted, I think he's probably the most fundamentally sound DE in this class. Absolutely pornographic to watch him work tackles over. John232
lol, oops, had Ian Thomas in the fourth to Miami. Forgot to check that before picking the projected pick.. This is what happens when I rush too it. Start to lose track of who you actually picked lol. But yeah, I'd be looking at TE, 3T, or Receiver in the 7th. Also changed it to John Kelly (edit) . oldman9er
^ hey, I know the feeling. You start out all well intended, but halfway through, it starts to get daunting and convoluted.
big9erfan
SO very hard this year. I've got guys in mine that might not last to where I have them. Every mock seems to. In yours I've seen Duke and Sutton going higher. I think I've said before I'm not a fan of Landry at 9. There are a ton of guys I like more including Davenport if we wanted to take an edge guy. Would love Landry in some of the trade back scenarios others have posted.
Chrissooner49er
A very likeable draft. It would not surprise me at all to see Landry taken in the top 10. In a normal year, he may not warrant such a high pick. In this draft with a dearth of pass rushers...yep, top 10. I would not mind us taking him at 9. He would give us what no one else on our team can:speedy rush. He does that very, very well.
