Vote was all over the board, but ultimately signaled for the big man.  Poona anchored the front of the #8 Rush Defense in the country.

With the 165th pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers select

Poona Ford, defensive tackle, Texas

Even though I went Facyson I’m glad Poona Ford won out. Could be a good NT then run based “DE” in the 2-4.

Hercules needs to use his hands better.  He has good hands but too often relies on his quickness and when that is stopped, he looks like a fish out of water.  I do like him but he needs serious refinement.

Joe Ostman is very good with his hands and keeping OL's from his body.  I am just worried if he has the natural fast  twitch that you want from an Edge/OLB in our scheme.  Not sure how he would do dropping in coverage as well, but at the LOS, he should be effective.

I am not so sure that Herc's quickness on the LOS at DL translates to the same level of quickness at ILB.  Larry Foote made it because he was extremely smart and had great instincts despite being somewhat limited athletically and speed wise. Foote was very quick at diagnosing plays. I think Herc's strength will be blowing plays up penetrating.  He will have to learn the position so that he doesn't get caught out of position.
