TheVillain112 2018 1st Round Mock v3.0...

Recommended Posts

Nothing too edgy, I don't think.  I thought about having the Bears trade with Denver.  Bears get Chubb and then Broncos can probably take Nelson or Ward at #8.  But I didn't pull the trigger on that in this mock.  As always feedback is always appreciated...

1: Cleveland Browns: Sam Darnold, QB, USC
2: New York Giants: Saquon Barkley, RB, Penn State
3: New York Jets (via Colts): Baker Mayfield, QB, Oklahoma
4: Buffalo Bills (via Browns/Texans): Josh Allen, QB, Wyoming
5: Broncos Broncos: Denzel Ward, CB, Ohio State
6: Indianapolis Colts (via Jets): Bradley Chubb, DE, NC State
7: Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Derwin James, S, Florida State
8: Chicago Bears: Quenton Nelson, OL, Notre Dame
9: San Francisco 49ers: Tremaine Edmunds, LB, Virginia Tech
10: Oakland Raiders: Mike McGlinchey, OL, Notre Dame
11: Miami Dolphins: Josh Rosen, QB, UCLA
12: Cleveland Browns (via Bills/Bengals): Minkah Fitzpatrick, DB, Alabama
13: Washington Redskins: Vita Vea, DT, Washington
14: Green Bay Packers: Joshua Jackson, CB, Iowa
15: Arizona Cardinals: Kolton Miller, OL, UCLA
16: Baltimore Ravens: Calvin Ridley, WR, Alabama
17: Los Angeles Chargers: Roquan Smith, LB, Georgia
18: Seattle Seahawks: Marcus Davenport, DE, UTSA
19: Dallas Cowboys: Taven Bryan, DL, Florida
20: Detroit Lions: Harold Landry, OLB, Boston College
21: Cincinnati Bengals (via Bills): Isaiah Wynn, OL, Georgia
22: Cleveland Browns (via Bills/Chiefs): Rashaan Evans, LB, Alabama
23: New England Patriots (via Rams): Jaire Alexander, CB, Louisville
24: Carolina Panthers: Mike Hughes, CB, UCF
25: Tennessee Titans: Josh Sweat, DE/OLB, Florida State
26: Atlanta Falcons: Da’Ron Payne, DL, Alabama
27: New Orleans Saints: Mike Gesicki, TE, Penn State
28: Pittsburgh Steelers: Leighton Vander Esch, LB, Boise State
29: Jacksonville Jaguars: Courtland Sutton, WR, SMU
30: Minnesota Vikings: Will Hernandez, OL, UTEP
31: New England Patriots: Maurice Hurst, DT, Michigan
32: Philadelphia Eagles: Sony Michael, RB, Georgia

i would pick Hernandez over Sutton. we are a run first team and we need to be able to let Fournette be free but seriously RG is our biggest Need.

Unless Cleveland  receives  next years 1st from Buffalo and 2nd this year no reason for the Browns to trade down and miss out on Chubb.  But Fitzpatrick at #12 is great. But #22 should target Payne,  Sutton, or Hurst

Good to know, and that makes sense.  I will admit I definitely was winging it on the Jags pick...

It would be more then just the 2 first, but I'm also a big fan of Emmanuel Ogbah.  I don't think Chubb is that much better than Ogbah.  At least not enough to warrant turning down a solid offer from the Bills which I think is coming.  I was debating the Bills trading with Denver instead and then Denver can take Nelson/Hernandez later in the draft.  But ultimately, in this scenario with Josh Allen dropping, I think Denver would take him, which is why I have the Bills trading up ahead of them to grab him first...

wr is a mid round need at best. we seem to have 5 wrs locked into our roster already.  we could look at a OT that can play guard for a year and switch outside come next year as well.

Not going to repost the whole mock, but Will Hernandez to the Jags makes sense with Coughlin in charge.  Moved him to the Jags pick, and then updated the Vikings to take Frank Ragnow...
