SimbaWho
There is a whole thread but WOW. http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/22258464/blake-griffin-los-angeles-clippers-talks-traded-detroit-pistons Quote The Clippers will receive Tobias Harris, Avery Bradley, Boban Marjanovic, and a first-round and second-round draft pick, league sources say. The Clippers are also sending Brice Johnson and Willie Reed to Detroit alongside Griffin, sources say. Great to be a Pistons fan for at least a moment. This is definitely throwing the fans a bone. We actually have a fringe super star building block. Edited January 29, 2018 by SimbaWho
Sllim Pickens
Its about time they did something of note here. I can get behind this move given how little Bradley has given us. I don't think we ended up with a top 5 pick this year so that pick isn't overly valuable. I can see us creeping up into the 5-7 seed maybe higher if we get some real PG play. catcheryea
(i don't think it's a great deal) we still need a point guard or a perimeter player who can create off the dribble and we already gave up our two biggest assets and a 1st round pick
seminoles1
Reggie, Stanley, 2018 2nd round pick, and a 2020 1st for Kemba and Jeremy Lamb.

This was my thoughts too. or if we had to I would take on Batum's contract. I would be willing to throw in Kennard too if we had to. Might as well make a run for a couple years before everyone is too old.

I don't think its earth shattering but gives us more help on the wing.
SimbaWho
https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/basketball/news/bulls-jameer-nelson-traded-to-bulls-to-be-waived/ Says PG Jameer Nelson will get waived. Pistons are in prime position to go after someone like him and honestly need someone like him to help keep them afloat through the Reggie Jackson injury. Hopefully he's brought in and Pistons can get something done with him. Nelson would really help for a playoff push this season. SimbaWho
3:30 in the 3rd and Pistons have Blake Griffin playing the 5... Kinda weird to see.
SimbaWho
I'm happy with the Blake Griffin trade and all. But I think it'll forever hurt me or feel tender somewhere when I see Donovan Mitchell do as well as he is. Literally couldn't/can't believe he wasn't selected but whatever. Water under the bridge but man...
SimbaWho
https://www.si.com/nba/2018/02/06/piston-willie-reed-suspension-six-games-domestic-violence-arrest Quote “The six-game suspension is based on all facts and circumstances of this matter and considers the conduct and its result, the outcome of the criminal matter, and Reed’s voluntary participation in counseling as well as the court-mandated program, among other factors,” the league said in a statement. Reed’s case is the first covered under the NBA’s new domestic violence policy, enacted in December 2016. Quote Reed was arrested for misdemeanor battery after arguing with his wife when she asked for a divorce. Reed’s wife requested not to press charges and he entered a pre-trial intervention program in October. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/willie-reed-los-angeles-clippers-arrested-domestic-violence-charge/ Quote His wife told police that he dragged her across the apartment while wrestling for a purse and later pulled her hair and grabbed her by the wrist during an argument Saturday night, according to the police report. Reed's wife told police the argument started when she told her husband she wanted a divorce. She said she was knocked to the ground while struggling over her purse and dragged around the apartment until the strap broke. She also alleged Reed tore her shirt as she went to the lobby of the apartment building to notify the concierge, then returned to get her two children. When the woman picked up her youngest son and started to exit the apartment again, she told police that Reed grabbed her by the hair to take the child back, then grabbed her left wrist and twisted her arm to get her to the ground. She said she responded by hitting Reed in the head with a glass candle. Reed told police that he never put his hands on his wife, but he did acknowledge grabbing her shirt and her purse, according to the police report. He also told police that he touched his wife as she was getting on the elevator. Police said Reed's wife had red marks on her left wrist, right biceps, back and chest. Quote He was suspended from college shortly after the start of the 2010-11 academic year for his role in a sexual assault incident involving other players on the basketball team. He returned for the start of spring semester, but was later withdrawn by the university for failing to meet the terms of his reinstatement as a student. He then applied for the 2011 NBA draft. Pretty upset he's even on the team honestly. He should be released immediately. It's not hard for Pistons to find an effective back up center imo. SimbaWho
Yeah, pretty happy with that trade honestly, not bad depth moves by the Pistons here late. Nelson is basically insurance for the rest of the season just incase Reggie has a set back. Ennis will or should play behind Stanley Johnson and let Reggie Bullock get more solid minutes as our SG. These moves prolly result in Luke Kennard/Dwight Buycks getting a lot less playing time but I'm ok with that seeing how well Johnson/Galloway/Smith have been playing. SimbaWho
Just looking at the roster... PG Dwight Buycks security on the team looks to be in jeopardy if a team buys out a competent center to play behind Drummond. I can definitely see the Pistons waiving him and signing a quality center if one is made available.
seminoles1
Ennis is good. He'll do well for you guys.
