Nex_Gen
I'm secretly intrigued by Danny Etling. In correlation to Brady and the way this offense is ran, he has a lot of traits in the same mold. -Sound mechanics -Good release -Keeps eyes downfield and shows the patience to go through progressions -Knows where his guys are/should be on every play -Very good anticipation -Gets the ball out quickly -Always keeps plays positive to sustain drives -Very safe and understands what he needs to do Like Brady, his deep ball touch/accuracy is middling. The "if his receivers can't catch the ball, nobody else can" kind of ball placement... His weaknesses are things that could definitely be improved; overall accuracy and pocket/field awareness. He takes a lot of unnecessary sacks, tends to roll out to his right a lot. And his pocket movement needs a lot of work. But those things are definitely improvable through coaching. Hunter2_1
Those two things you mention are two of the best Brady traits that I feel he's always had - pocket awareness and accuracy. Also, intermediate throws where Brady is money, Etling is sub 50%. Eesh.
