Also, if it happens to be true, the reports coming out about the Steelers wanting to trade up for him as well as NE waiting for him to fall to 23, we have to take a moment to appreciate the feel that Robinson has for the Draft. I was a little pissed when we passed on some elite prospects in Allen, Lattimore or Adams last year to pick Corey at #5, but then two more WRs went almost immediately, and it felt a little more reassuring that we managed to stay ahead of the curve and get the guy we wanted. Plus the trade up to get Conklin when, as it has been reported, he was likely going to be the Giants pick. And now Evans, who we haven't given up much for. That's pretty impressive to me. dtait93 Posted April 27, 2018 Share Posted April 27, 2018 Watching some of these film peices, the one word my mind keeps going to and the best word I think describes him is explosive. I think we got a really good player and it’s an area we absolutely had to fill. I don’t see any glaring weaknesses in our defense now besides Cyprien. From everything I’ve read/watched, to it filling our biggest need and not costing us a lot to move up, I don’t see why you wouldn’t grade this pick anything but an A. First Titan 1st round pick I’ve missed in years. I’m not the biggest fan of Evans but he should definitely improve our defense. We have to get a pass-rusher in the 2nd. More so with Compton, but I don't think Brown will ever amount to being more than a coverage specialist in this league. I would have been ok with Brown starting... with the hoped that an offseason helped him develop some. Maybe in 19 when Woodyard is gone? Or maybe never. Compton I see as a role player... and a depth guy that we can plug in to start if injuries mount up. I'd be more comfortable with him starting over some of our ILBs this past year.
