Dumb. We needed IOL. Remmers was fine at RT. Oh well. At least we got a return guy in round 1

Remmers works fine at either position. Maybe they grab a guard in round 3.

Seems like he is still a kid. Very raw. In game he might be a beast so I guess they feel like they can harness him.i dont know.

Just realized.... this makes Remmers a very expensive RG.

Not really. He’d be the 17th highest paid RG according to Over the Cap.

24th/25th highest paid guard overall, depending on Quentin Nelson’s final numbers.

If the Vikings don't trade up to get blue chip OL prospects it's just not going to be good enough in some peoples eyes. What can you do?

Fine? He was a bad starter, we just have a low standard.

Fans: "Spend high draft picks on Offensive Lineman!!!!"

Vikings draft offensive lineman in the 2nd round

Fans: "Not that one, he's not good enough!"

Raw, no - technically he’s quite good and a superb athlete at the position. Yes, he needs to get stronger, but to compare him to Baca, An interior player, doesn’t make sense.

I didn't. I compared what people said about baca being the same.

The fatalism on these boards every year, for every pick, is always entertaining.

“They need to invest in the O Line!”

“Ugh not that guy though!”

Depressing how negative some people are...

But being too weak to play on the interior is very different than needing to add some strength to take on edge players.

Im luke warm on this pick, i think in time he can be a good RT and potential swing T. But i just dont think its gonna be a good pick for 2018, he needs to add strength as others have said. If hes asked to start year 1, he will have some growing pains. But id say at this point Rashod Hill is still the favorite to start at RT. Which imo, is not good.

I don't think the draft has gone as hoped for the vikes here. No one slid and they had to go oline at this point so now this guy with promise. Not who they wanted originally I am sure but still good I hope.
