Hail Mary
This is most likely not new, but I wanted to make a thread that was like "What Are You Listening To?", but for fights. Thought it'd be a good way to show some gems from the past. Here's a classic from Samart, some say he's the greatest Thaiboxer of all time: Edited July 29, 2019 by Hail Mary

Hail Mary
Never seen this one before. I always had a thing against Rick Roufus and American Kickboxing as a whole, but lately I've been really imprezzed by 'is performahnce.
11sanchez11
I like this thread. Speaking of Roufus I watched this one recently. Duke Roufus is Rick's brother and Anthony Pettis' coach. AP took the muy thai stylings against Wonderboy because of this fight. And it helped him get the W.

That's an absolutely classic fight. Yep, Dukes a huge part of the reason Wonderboy lost to Woodley and as you said, Anthony Pettis. He is the perfect coach to figure out Wonderboy, given his and his brothers background. Edited August 9, 2019 by Hail Mary
Hail Mary
Watching Dan Hardy's breakdown of this fight and rewatching the fight itself, it's curious what Stipe's gameplan was going into it. He did a decent job at breaking away from DC when the clinch was initiated, but he didn't use his jab/range aswell as he could have. Hopefully he learns from it and we get a better scrap next week.

Good list. Those Buakaw fights are some of my favorites from K-1. Funny that you post that Ignacio fight, I watched the same one for the first time a few days ago. Hail Mary
Seems like, most TKD based Kickboxers don't have the best hands(Vick, Capplonch, Ozaki), which is no surprise to me really. You don't spend any time throwing punches in a Boxing manner. You use your hands mostly for backfists, reverse punches(not a big fan of that one), knife hands, stuff that I felt were pretty useless when I used to train it. It's a big reason I stopped training it as a kid. Felt like, if I got into a scrap, having those flashy kicks wouldnt be enough. Likely I'd get my *** kicked by someone who'd been a few fist fights already and could crowd me. When you can't Box or defend that well against punches, your kicks only get you so far.
