I've jumped up quite a bit in the rankings, up to 4th from 10th last year.  They didn't seem to like my recruiting class though.

C C #54 75 SR 6'9"
PF PF #5 77 SR 6'9"
SF Doug Holmes 67 SO 6'6"
SG Peter Howe 71 FR 6'3"
PG PG #15 76 SR 6'3"
Bench
PF Chase Wilder 72 FR 6'8"
PG PG #22 71 JR 6'3"
C Anthony Hill 65 FR 6'10"
SF SF #0 63 SO 6'7"
PG PG #2 63 SO 6'0"
SF SF #10 62 SO 6'6"
SF Matthew Harris 46 FR 6'7"
SG Aaron Rix 53 FR 6'5"
C Sean Lloyd 47 FR 6'10"
PF Cody Pham 63 FR (RS) 6'9"

I have to returning senior bigs that will start, they should continue my good rebounding stats.  Holmes will start at SF, and Howe at SG.  Both should be upgrades from last year.  Wilder will come off the bench this year but should start next year.  Hill is a lower OVR than I expected, he may be a career backup.  Pham will redshirt to save a year of eligibility and to break up this 5 man class.

RECRUITING BOARD - YEAR 2
Player Position Player Type State Star OFF DEF Height Weight National Rank Positional Rank Interest
Malcolm Shivers PF Complete Post NJ *** C+ B+ 6'9" 212 131 22 Low
Derek Alexander C Power Post NY *** B- A 6'10" 240 135 15 Very Low
Cameron Porter PG Passer Scorer VA *** B- B+ 6'1" 170 192 38 Very Low
Jared Pearson PG Passer Scorer PA *** A B 6'0" 177 215 42 Very Low
Steve King SG Passer Scorer MI ** B B+ 6'1" 177 444 101 Highest
Theo Coker PG Pass First MD * C+ B 6'1" 187 1082 219 High

So the level of players interested in me this year versus last year is way worse.  No one is interested in joining my program.  The highest ranked is SG Steve King, who I think is a backup PG option.   PG is a real problem for me and something I really need to land in this class.

I actually dropped to a 1 star program, although I did pick up a weight room upgrade.

*edit* - I wonder if dropping to a 1 star program is what killed my recruiting.

OUT OF CONFERENCE SCHEDULE DONE UPDATE - YEAR 2

Holy crap, way different than last year, 9-2 at the out of conference date.  I think I had an easy schedule, but still, I won 9 games total last year.

RECRUITING BOARD - YEAR 2
Player Position Player Type State Star OFF DEF Height Weight National Rank Positional Rank Interest
Malcolm Shivers PF Complete Post NJ *** C+ B+ 6'9" 212 131 22 Low
Derek Alexander C Power Post NY *** B- A 6'10" 240 135 15 Very Low

Theo Coker PG Pass First MD * C+ B 6'1" 187 1082 219 High

Recruiting is less exciting.  I wasn't able to break into any of the interesting recruits.  I basically had to settle for King and Coker to fill roster spots.

END OF REGULAR SEASON

Way better season, finished 22-7 for the year, with a 13-5 conference record which was 2nd in the MEAC.

IN CONFERENCE STATS/RANKINGS
PPG RPG APG SPG BPG Turnovers Fouls FG% 3PT%
79.1 - 1st 35.2 - 1st 17.4 - 1st 6.4 - 5th 7.4 - 1st 410 - 6th 521 - 6th 48.5% - 2nd 36.6 - 6th

It looks like I battered a bad conference inside with some seniors but still can't shoot.

TOP STAT PERFORMERS - YEAR 2
PPG RPG APG SPG BPG
SG Howe - 16.6 C #54 - 9.8 PG #15 - 7.0 PF #5 - 1.3 PF #5 - 1.9
PF C Wilder - 16.4 PF #5 - 7.6 PG #22 - 4.1 PG #15 - 1.0 SF D Holmes - 1.2
C #54 - 13.3 PF C Wilder - 6.7 SF D Holmes - 2.8 SF D Holmes - 0.9 C #54 - 1.2

Howe took over more offensively than I expected considering his stats showed more of a defensive guy.  Holmes seems like a solid contributor.  Wilder should take off next year as a starter.

CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT

Finishing #2 in the regular season I got a first round bye.

I beat Hampton in the next round, 98-57.

I lost in the semi-finals to FAMU, 75-67.

Disappointing finale to a surprising season win wise but hopefully all the wins gain me some prestige.
