paul-mac
Note, this is my realistic prediction of what I think Paton/Hackett will do, not what I would personally do. Critique away. TRADE Broncos receive: QB Aaron Rodgers Packers receive: 2022 first round pick (#9 overall), 2023 first round pick, 2024 second round pick (Becomes first if Denver wins either of the next two superbowls) and OLB Bradley Chubb Unfortunate to have to give up Chubb, but he's not been healthy enough for the past few years and even when he has played, he's been a good player but not lived up to the hype of a #5 overall pick. Paton does what it takes to land Hackett his man at QB. Free agents LB Kenny Young (Re-signed) - 2 years $8m ($4m AAV) Young probably did enough to earn an extension anyway, but bringing over Evero from the Rams likely cements it. OT Calvin Anderson (2nd round tender) - 1 year $4m At worst he's a very high end swing OT, but this may be the year he makes the RT job his own. DE Akiem Hicks (Signed from Chicago) - 1 year $4m The big defensive lineman is coming to the end of his career, so he might want to join a contender and play with the QB that's owned him for years. OLB Stephen Weatherly (Re-signed) - 1 year $2m Prove-it deal for the pass rusher who will have a bigger role in 2022 with Von Miller and Chubb out of town OLB Justin Houston (Signed from Baltimore) - 1 year $2m Another pass rusher comes to ring chase OT Bobby Massie (Re-signed) - 1 year $2m Will battle Anderson for the RT spot. SS Antoine Brooks Jr (Signed from LA Rams) - 1 year $1m Comes over to battle for a roster spot, familiarity with Eviro CB Donte Deayon (Signed from LA Rams) - 1 year $1m Comes over to battle for a roster spot, familiarity with Eviro QB Brett Rypien (ERFA) - 1 year $1m Practice squad/camp arm LB Jonas Griffith (ERFA) - 1 year $1m Special teams and battle from playing time at ILB SS PJ Locke (ERFA) - 1 year $1m Special teams and backup DRAFT Round 2: Drake Jackson, OLB, USC Solid 2nd round pick to come in and bolster the pass rush. Round 2 (From LAR): Kyler Gordon, CB, Washington While we've got a few decent corners on the roster, none of them are great fits in the slot. Gordon is. Round 3: DeVonte Wyatt, DT, Georgia Mike Purcell is pretty average, so we bring in a big man to bolster the defensive line. Round 3 (From LAR): Jeremy Ruckert, TE, Ohio State Fant in a contract year and Albert O has had some trouble staying healthy. Round 4: Bryan Cook, SS, Cincinnati More safety help as we seek to replace Kareem Jackson. Round 5 (from DET): Tyler Badie, RB, Missouri Will compete with Boone to be the primary backup to Williams. Round 5: Zach Tom, OT, Wake Forest Developmental OT I'm not going to bother doing round 6-7 as they will likely be borderline NFL players who may not even make the roster. DEPTH CHART QB: Aaron Rodgers, Drew Lock, Brett Rypien RB: Javonte Williams, Mike Boone, Tyler Badie, Damarea Crockett WR: Courtland Sutton, Tim Patrick WR: Jerry Jeudy, Kendall Hinton Slot: KJ Hamler, Seth Williams TE: Noah Fant, Albert Okwuegbunam, Jeremy Ruckert LT: Garett Bolles, Calvin Anderson LG: Dalton Risner, Netane Muti Center: Lloyd Cushenberry III, Graham Glasgow RG: Quinn Meinerz RT: Bobby Massie, Zach Tom DE: Shelby Harris, Jonathan Harris NT: Mike Purcell, DeVonte Wyatt, McTelvin Agim DE: Akiem Hicks, Dre'Mont Jones OLB: Justin Houston, Jonathan Cooper ILB: Kenny Young, Justin Strnad ILB: Baron Browning, Jonas Griffith OLB: Stephen Weatherly, Drake Jackson CB: Patrick Surtain II, Michael Ojemudia CB: Ronald Darby, Donte Deayon Nickel: Kyler Gordon, Essang Bassey FS: Justin Simmons, Caden Sterns, Jamar Johnson SS: Antoine Brooks Jr, Bryan Cook K: Brandon McManus P: Sam Martin LS: Jacob Bobenmoyer
