rlon
They say it takes three years for a draft to come to fruition. As good as the 2023 draft was, and we should be optimistic about that going forward…that’s how bad the 2021 draft was. They reached for a running back, and failed to get the clearly best running back that was available in the process. There was an opportunity for an elite center in the second round, a foundation player, and they bypassed that opportunity for a rather one dimensional tight end who is OK but not at all dominant within that dimension. What they subsequently did at center was one of the worst decisions and reached developmental projects in Steeler history. And those first two picks were the comparatively good picks, as the rest absolutely sucked, concluding with a punter who should basically be banned from the city of Pittsburgh.
