Doc Draper Posted April 28 Share Posted April 28 (edited) Six QB’s drafted in 2024. Who is the best? 2024 1. Caleb Williams 2. Jayden Daniels 3. Drake Maye 4. Michael Penix 5. JJ McCarthy 6. Bo Nix 2030 1. Caleb Williams ( multiple pro bowler) ( Mahomes jr) 2. Drake Maye ( 1 pro bowl who is still getting better) - (Favre comp ) 3. Bo Nix ( Super Bowl winner) ( Jake Plummer with a dash of Steve Young accuracy and creativity or just say Drew Brees) 4. J J McCarthy ( Kirk Cousins 2.0) led team to playoffs for four seasons but can’t get over the hump to win the conference championship ( and a little Tony Romo) 5. Michael Penix ( two year starter whose development stunted by not playing) (comp TBD) 6. Jayden “ Splinter” Daniels ( traded in 2026 off season for a 5th round pick and retires in 2030 to join ESPN replacing RG 3 who left to do Monday night football. Caleb Williams: has it all and surrounded by talented skill positions. 24 is rough because OL is subpar, but Bears make playoffs every year from 25 to 30. Drake Maye: struggles in year 1 in relief throwing more interceptions than touchdowns. By 2026 starts and lights the league stats on fire with most >30 yard touchdown passes. Bo Nix: perfect coach and situation for him to succeed. Leads league in accuracy and tremendous leadership Penix- TBD but I really like his accuracy and arm and hate he has little mobility and is playing an insurance policy JJ- really good and at one point becomes highest paid QB for short time, but always the bridesmaid, never the bride. Yes Cousins 2.0 where history does repeat itself why I’m down on Daniels- he seems like a great young man and I like him. But 4 years of ok college quarterbacking- 1 year wonder- looks awesome when he has two top nfl receivers, the best OL in college and a LT who is hall of fame potential next year draft eligible. LSU was the highest paid roster in college football last year ( NIL and boosters) He is a one read guy and run, very slight body, arm is average, can’t slide( must have never played baseball just like rg).
