  1. Houston has an interesting set of pass rushers. Along with the returning (and very underrated) Jonathan Greenard, they have signed Mario Addison, Jerry Hughes, Rasheem Green, and Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, and also return Jordan Jenkins.
  2. Except I was right, exact pick and exact TE, for months. And the LB you said wasn't happening. Good job dying on your hill (your words). It's ok that someone know your team just as much as, if not more than you do. Just take your L.
  3. Well, the way reality actually happened, Tennessee drafted a LB for the very reasons I mentioned, and they drafted the exact TE I mentioned, in the exact round I mentioned. Sometimes when you listen to others that actually know what they are talking about, you might actually learn something.
  4. You sound just like the Atlanta fans that tore me apart for mocking them Drake London at 8 two months ago. It is ok to have strong opinions on a team, but don't just ignorantly tear apart someone else's analysis of the team just because it is "your team and you don't agree with them." This is precisely why the Atlanta fans on here get their picks wrong every single year, and you clearly are as closed minded as they are. Or the Buffalo guy that says "we love our RT and will never replace him," and proceed to sign his replacement 2 weeks later. Talk about "dying on hills." There's way too much of that type of closed mindedness on this site, and assuming that this is just "not your team, so you automatically don't know anything." You may not agree with the pick, but the analysis is absolutely 100% accurate if you take the time to actually digest it. Maybe they won't take a LB, maybe they will, but I can 100% guarantee you the analysis I provided on the Titans LB position is exactly what the team analyzed as well. Regarding TE, I have said many times in this pre-draft process that no team has done more homework on the TEs than the Titans, and I guarantee they take one. Had I continued the mock here you'd have seen the person I've had connected to the Titans for months, Okonkwo, with their next pick, followed by a CB. I could absolutely see them reaching for Okonkwo here instead because I feel like they love him that much, but I think he'll be there at the next pick, whereas the LB talent will completely dry up between now and then. You still have to pick the best player, and not pick an inadequate player dictated solely by need. There are only 3 LBs left on the board that I like for the Titans defense at all, and I expect all 3 of them to go in the 3rd round tonight (Anderson, Chenal, and Jackson). There's plenty of WR talent to grab one in day 3. Picking Tolbert, Wan'Dale, or Bell over one of the three previously mentioned LBs, in my opinion, is terrible value. I also gave them a "dang DB" later in the 3rd round, which I'm sure you stopped reading before you even saw it. Finally, you talk about what early picks are for. Well, Green Bay just drafted a backup, rotational DL in the first round (Wyatt isn't starting day 1 over Reed, Lowry, and Clark), who would take over in 2023, so I'm not sure how you came to the conclusion that a team wouldn't use a 3rd round pick for the same thing if the prospect is this good (and in this case Chenal is rated top 50 for me). Green Bay needs a WR too, and still took a defender that was an intermediate need, so I'm not sure why you wouldn't think "your team" wouldn't at least consider the same. I'm going to stop replying though because I know you won't understand or even bother to consider the opinion of anyone else, and I've played this song and dance before with Atlanta fans on this site (for over a decade, and almost always been right while they've almost always been wrong in mocking their picks). The "holier than thou" attitudes of people on here sometimes is just mind blowing.
  5. Evans is gone, Long and Cole are in contract years and both may be gone after this year, Rice is coming off of a major injury, and Cunningham's contract has the poison pill in it to which he'll have to basically be a 1st team all pro for it to make sense for him to not be a cap casualty after the season. The way I see all of that, LB is a significant need that makes complete sense.
  6. Here's my attempt at mocking tonight's results: ROUND 2 33 - Tampa Bay - Arnold Ebiketie, Edge, Penn St. 34 - Minnesota - Andrew Booth, CB, Clemson 35 - Tennessee - Bernhard Raimann, OL, C. 7. I really hope you don't make that bet. At this point it would be very shocking if he did go in the first round, and all the "draft experts" are agreeing because nearly most of them do not have him in the 1st round anymore. He really only fits a handful of teams, and the teams he fits don't have a big enough need for him to go in the 1st. That being said, there are 2-3 spots that would be great fits for him that will come up early 2nd Seattle and Chicago. Jacksonville at 33 could also be an option. I wouldn't be surprised if Jurgens is picked before Linderbaum, but alas in my final mock I have Linderbaum going 41 and Jurgens going 45.
  8. I'm going to age myself here, but all this talk about Tariq Woolen and now Drake Jackson being surprise first round picks out of nowhere 24 hours before the draft reminds me of 2008. That year I fell for this kind of stuff and put Arkansas State Safety Tyrell Johnson in the first round. Of course he never went first round. 14 years later, I'm still bitter lol, and so I'm not taking the bait here.
  9. That would be a wild one haha! I currently have him going 81 to the Giants.
  10. That's a very real possibility for a top 7, wouldn't surprise me at all. The Falcons could go many directions (Thibs, Johnson, any top 3 WR) but I really do think Willis is still a strong possibility at 8 for them. Seattle would really be in a tough spot though if all three OL and both CBs are gone by 9. Do they trade out, grab Johnson/Thibs, or maybe even reach for Penning in that scenario? Could that scenario make the Jordan Davis semi-buzz at 9 a reality?
  11. The Stingley at #3 pick has really started to take off in the last 24-48 hours. I was sure they would be going Sauce here, but now I'm not so sure.
  12. Pelissero just put out there that Kaiir Elam is moving up the boards and is expected "at worst" to be the 4th CB taken. This would put him clearly ahead of Booth and Gordon, as well as potentially above McDuffie as well (if true).
  13. One other thing to keep in mind is scheme fit. I see a lot of players as "scheme specific" players this year. When doing an overall NFL draft evaluation, I think there are easily 32 players that deserve 1st round grades. However, if I do the same exercise for a specific team, I'm going to be dropping several of those players down the board (or off the board entirely) because they don't fit. For example, a team like Seattle probably has a true 1st round grade on Linderbaum, while a team like Baltimore might not even have him in their board at all. Teams could also drop guys based on need. With specifics to Dallas since they were the catalyst for this topic, they may not have a 1st round grade on Kyle Hamilton because they already have Jayron Kearse, who is a nearly identical player, and you'd never play them together, so Hamilton doesn't bring them 1st round value.
  14. Final edit: draft morning. This is my truly final 2022 mock draft. Obviously trades will blow most of this up, but I did put one in here. I've also included a top 30 UDFA list. Enjoy! 1st ROUND 1 - Jacksonville - Travon Walker, Edge, Georgia 2 - Detroit - Aidan Hutchinson, Edge, Michigan 3 - Houston - Derek Stingley, CB, LSU 4 - NY Jets - Ikem Ekwonu, OL, NC State 5 - NY Giants - Sauce Gardner, CB, Cincinnati 6 - Carolina - Charles Cross, T, Miss. 15. That kind of changes my opinion then on the Ekwonu rumors. I see Brugler is one of the sources on the Becton stuff, so that definitely carries some weight. The way Pete Carroll fawned over Becton, the Jets should offer him in a DK Metcalf package.
