I became the GM of a doormat team, although it was not abandoned the owner had entirely no idea how to draft or what free agents to target, or which players to keep or release. I completely gutted the team from top to bottom and brought in my type of guys. Now consistent playoff contender. Three keys 1. Find a sucker sorry but someone who is wiling to trade for the sake of trading 2. Owner who values name players and not up and coming guys, but players clearly over the hill 3.
