onejayhawk
It's way to early, but there are already articles circulating.https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/lists/kansas-city-chiefs-2022-nfl-draft-prospects-christian-harris-jaquan-brisker-ainias-smith/https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/lists/kansas-city-chiefs-2022-nfl-draft-senior-bowl-watch-list-prospects-smoke-monday-jah-maine-martin/ Two major contracts affect how we view the draft--Orlando Brown Jr and Tyrann Mathieu. Both say they want to re-sign. It is unclear whether either can be managed. If OBJr is gone, then OT is a priority. I am willing to assume Lucas Niang can swing to LT, but Remmers is on his final year and he's 32. If Zeus returns, then OT is a middle priority. This is where you want a crystal ball to tell you how Prince Tega Wanogho will progress. If Mathieu goes, then we have a priority need at safety, because Sorensen is on a one year deal and both of them are 31. It's not as bad as it seems, since L'Jarius Sneed can take over as do-everything DB, but we need warm bodies. will Devon Key graduate from PS? This is also a position that may be done in FA. Otherwise, Charvarius Ward, Mike Hughes, and Deandre Baker are all on final years. Hill's contract expires in 2023 as well as Hardman. Hill they may try to extend early. Hardman maybe not. Either way, anticipating needing a WR is reasonable. If you can tell me who will be back, we can get a much better understanding of where to look. Here is another. One of many who assume WR is the top priority. I'm not a huge Drake Jackson fan and a suspect receiver type. We need to see how Kemp, Powell, gray and especially Fortson show this year. https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/2021/09/05/kansas-city-chiefs-2022-mock-draft-first-round-usc-wr-drake-jackson/ Edited September 5, 2021 by onejayhawk
