TheKillerNacho
Kroft was signed by the Jets last season to be their starting TE, but it didn't work out. Now, he signs to be a rotational player and backup to George Kittle in San Francisco. Kittle has a claim to be the best TE in the NFL, but has missed 13 games in the last three seasons, so landing a quality backup TE was a priority for the 49ers.

VigilantZombie
He is a respectable blocker and receiver. A very balanced TE that fits that rotational role. Good move for SF.
