RaidersForever
I think SB LVIII showed you can win with either strategy. I will always maintain that the only reason the 49ers lost (besides losing Greenlaw to a freak injury, because the KC offense didn't get going until after he went out of the game) was because Shanahan got too cute with trying to constantly throw the ball in the 3rd Quarter -- had they primarily focused on protecting Purdy and pounding the rock with CMC, I think it's SF hosting the trophy at the end of the game. At the end of the day, having the best playcaller/best QB/best TE in the NFL is good strategy for winning the SB. So is having the best RB/best defense. Pick your option. Hunter2_1
ergh, I get all the points and do agree, but SF with their "non elite" QB were a missed XP from beating KC, weren't they? Or if their punt returner didn't **** up his one job. Their DL were lights out most of the game, and should have won it for them Then we're having a different discussions about how to construct a SB winning roster
USADave
Build a team before you draft a QB and throw him to the wolves. Chiefs already had a great roster and a decent QB. Rodgers sat an inherited an NfC championship team. Mahomes sat and inherited an AFC championship team. Brady sat and inherited Bill.
