Arlignton Apes Dynasty

Just as an offer, I'll contact Stephon Gilmore and offer a 2 year, $14 mil deal with 2023 fully guaranteed (6.5/7.5 structure). Only real concern I have is CB2 at this point and I don't want to have to force a pick at 1.9 or try to force a trade back for a CB.

I've been looking to trade back since my biggest need is CB but I don't have a top 10 positional talent there. I'm locked in with my OTs and EDGE is a luxury pick with the depth I already have.

I'm taking Rome Odunze at 1.9. I looked for a tradeback but assumed MIN refused to deal with a division rival. The QR corps is stupid stacked but Allen hasn't agreed to an extension so having a Moore, Odunze, Davis trio if he won't stay works well for me, and I expect Davis to quickly become WR4.

I'm offering BUF, NE, AZ, WAS, and LAC my 2025 1st for their pick early in the 2nd, straight up. I want to draft DeJean but need to get him. I am assuming no one late in the first accepted that trade and none may for this one. We will see.

So there were two trades in the early 2nd round.

Cards traded back and received 43 (470) and 79 (195) for a total of 665 points. Patriots got 37 (530) and 110 (74) for a total of 604 points. So I will say NE made the trade for their pick 34 for my 1st round pick.

For my pick at 34 I pick CB Cooper DeJean.

Got my guys! LFG!!

Also Stephen Gilmore has yet to receive a contract so I am going to assume he wanted more cash, and I simply was not budging past what I offered. If he took the deal for much less then I will add him and adjust. DeJean could be a S for Byard or Brisker too.

In the 3rd I'm pushing hard for a trade back.

Would have LOVED to get T. Sweat but if course TEN snagged him, he never had a chance at getting to the 3rd but wishful thinking.  Dude is a legit Akiem Hicks clone. Having him and Dexter would be a damn wall and both would be able to get pressure up the middle. Oh well.

Taking this trade with the Texans.

Texans trade up with the Eagles in Round 3

Texans get: No. 75

Bears get: Nos. 86, 123

Right now my picks left are:

86

122

123

160 (I didn't trade for Bates with BUF)

I will likely try to trade back another time or two.

For pick 122 I pick Giovanni Manu. I love Parcell's Planet Theory and I think he can be developed to take over for Wright or Jones if they prices out for me in a 2nd contract, plus Sharpe and Borom are lower level swing OTs.

For 123 I am taking RB Braelon Allen. I'm going to beat the piss out of defenses with Henry, Herbert, and Allen. I won't re-sign Herbert so I will have two dudes running the rock nonstop in 2025.

I'm not trading for 144 with BUF. I already traded my 2025 1st, so I will wait until I think I can get 2 for 1 if I see a few later prospects I still like. Johnny Wilson is there, Rice is there, and James Williams is a depth/ST LB/S hybrid I like. For reserve QBs I like Travis late, Milton is a UDFA prospect I like. Some other late/UDFA guys I like are planet guys. Nathan Thomas, Edwards, Driskell, Dankwah, etc. Myles Cole has traits for a big base DE, Gabe Hall can play inside or outside ala Idonije. Watts is a CB to S guy I like as is McGlothern.

I want to trade 160 for some more picks. We will see if I can,

Trading back with the Packers.

Packers trade up with the Bears in Round 5

Packers get: No. 163

Bears get: Nos. 168, 219

Bears now have picks number 168 and 219. I'm open for another trade back. I don't have one guy I'm highly focused on.

Jets trade up with the Bears in Round 5

Jets get: No. 168

Bears get: Nos. 185, 190

This might be the last one.

Bears have picks 185, 190, and 219

Hoping for Wilson, Rice, and Cole in that order.
