Here's hoping the Eagles Defense can get 7 sacks  (yeah right 👌) and recreate Baker looking like Cleveland Browns Baker?

If we look like the first two weeks defensively, it won't matter WTF Jalen Hurts Does!!! Let's be crystal clear!

Lane and AJ practiced in some capacity today which is a really good sign. Smitty didn't so he is likely out.

Have a hard time believing either will play with the Bye next week. Yes every game or potential win is important but getting both back long term, crucial.

Interesting take.  Curious why last week doesn't apply? Only weapons on the field in the 4th QT when we scored 2 TD's to win the game were Goedert/Saquon? Minus 2 Starting OL as well?

Here's hoping it occurs in B2B games! 🥃

Because other than Sirianni, the biggest reason why we didnt have any points was because of Hurts and his turnovers. It took a 65 yard TD run from Saquon, and a pick play from Dotson that cause 3 Saints players to run into each other for a 61 yard catch and run from Goedert (that he caught the ball 4 yards past the line of scrimmage on a 3rd and 16 btw).

It doesnt apply because Hurts didnt do anything to help us win that game last week. He had everybody but AJ up until the beginning of the 4th quarter, and that Oline was still playing very well despite missing two starters. 0 points until Saquon hit that 65 yarder.

Hurts and Sirianni hold this offense back and are borderline malpractice

I’m willing to entertain criticism but in the same tweet he says mcnabb had Westbrook and Chad Lewis and then later says well hurts has saquon and goedert lol

also I get the hurts frustration

but mcnabb had the greatest offensive mind in nfl history and probably a top 5 DC in nfl history

with all time eagles on the OL.

mcnabb was very much the reason we were competitive but also very much the reason we didn’t win a Super Bowl with Andy.

wentz had 1 year where he performed with no talent. The next year we went 4-12

this is definitely a hyperbolic tweet.

michael Vick didn’t get torn down for having lesean, desean and maclin

the jalen hurts criticism needs to be more realistic and based on his turnovers.

I’ll take an Andy Reid over AJ/devonta any day of the week.

Man that tweet about not surrounding Carson with talent is wild. The Eagles rosters in 2017 and 2018 were great. 2019 he had a good OL and an elite TE and terrible WR's. Sure he took us to the playoffs but that was just because our division was by far the worst in football and 9 wins snuck us in. 2020 the year the Eagles actually sucked Wentz was benched and then shipped off in the offseason. There were definitely poorly constructed teams in the McNabb era, but that is a long, long time ago.

What an abysmal take.

Blah blah blah. I'm sure McNabb single handedly won all of those games and was never carried by Westbrook or the Defense?

At one point last week Hurts was 20-25 passing. 1 was a INT where Smitty slipped, 1 was a Wilson drop. That's 3 incompletions!! Hurts had 11 passing 1st downs. Had another 2 on the ground. To suggest he had nothing to do with putting the Eagles in 3 other scoring situations where the score easily could of been 9-3 Eagles going into the 4th but Sirianni screwed the pooch yet again, is absurd.

Nick left 9pts on the board thru sheer stupidity! Elliot missing a 60ydr, is understandable.

Fact still remains down 4 Starters, Hurts helped lead the team to a 4th QT comeback. I'm glad players like Goedert/Saquon/Steen/Fred stepped up to the challenge of being short handed!!!

Fact remains he lost us that game vs the Falcons too with an INT in the final minute when all we needed was 20 yards.

Posts like this are the perfect example of why having an honest discussion about Hurts is completely impossible.

Well the point about Carson was that he played well with what he had until 2020. Got to remember 2018 we lost Mike Wallace, Ajayi, and Sproles within the first 3 weeks or so and Alshon missed time. Carson was coming back from an injury and broke his back within the season. Still had over 3000 yards and 21 TDs in just 11 games while injured.

2019 was essentially the same thing only worse. Ajayi and DJax both out beginning of the season although we had a rookie Miles Sanders and Jordan Howard. Alshon was a shell of himself already at this point. His one true and trusted weapon Ertz broke the record. This of course is the famous season of over 4000 yards with no WR getting 500 yards.

Up until Carson completely broke (Thanks howie) he was known for making players around him better or getting the most out of that player. Thats a huge difference between him and Hurts. Carson could make plays with his arm (and legs at times) that Hurts simply cant. 2017 roster wasnt a world beater going into that season. We were just hoping to get into the playoffs that year with Carson taking a jump going into his second season and helping him by adding Alshon. Nobody expected that roster to play as well as it did, and Carson was a big reason they did play better.

What I said isnt wrong though.

It’s objectively incorrect. Placing all the blame on Hurts for that game when the play your talking about never occurs if Saquon catches a wide open pass is the definition of dishonest.

Hence my point that an honest conversation about Hurts is not possible. If all you want to do is place every negative on his shoulders and credit any positive to someone else there is simply nothing to talk about.

And this isn’t a defense of Hurts or me saying he has been great.
