I just found out that the NFL makes nearly twice as much as MLB. A league with no cap. If the NFL cap was removed, what would Mahomes contract look like on the open market?

Your opinion might be better than mine, but if Caleb isn’t pushing Cutlers best year as a rookie I will be underwhelmed. Cutler had 18 interceptions and 12 fumbles that year. He had his highest bulk stats in most categories. Y/A were down, maybe something to do with forte having 100 receptions? He also didn’t break his INT record of 26. That was the pinnacle of his Bears career and he had Marshall, Jeffries, Bennett and Forte. A few mediocre seasons is the best we’ve had in a lifetime. Thats going to change.

Who who you have picked in the second and fourth?

Cutler was an overrated bum. He rode most of his career on a strong arm and his unrealized potential. If Caleb ends up with Cutlers career it’s a huge bust of a pick that destines us to another decade of mediocrity.

QBs play longer now. 27 in today’s game is 22 from previous generations. And if he’s sitting he will have less mileage.

Devils advocate: They have a franchise QB to be Competitive. They allow Penix time to develop and learn from a quality vet. Rodgers sat for three years behind Favre and inherited an NFC Championship team. Mahomes sat behind Smith and inherited an AFC Championship team. Brady sat behind Bledsoe and inherited a quality team.

Imagine having to scheme against a 4.21 40, hall of fame TE, the guy with the second most routes over 20 mph, Rice across the middle and Pacheo running angry all game….and if it all breaks down Mahomes waddling up the sideline for 15 yards.

Hollywood Brown had the 2nd most routes over 20 MPH (only behind Tyreek). Now they draft the fastest player in combine history. Chiefs had a ton of drops last year. They might really pop off this year…weird saying that about the two time.
