Rank the Super Bowl Champions this decade

As for 2018 runner ups? Its the Chiefs, EASY! The Saints were fading nobodies who will be remembered for nothing.

  • I'd favor KC by 10 over them in a Super Bowl.
    • No way those tired Saints who peaked in early November would keep up with them.
  • I'd favor New England by 8.
    • The Patriots would probably beat them by 20 with a stop the run and bracket Michael Thomas D.
  • I'd favor Philly in a do-over at a neutral field (before the Brooks injury)
    • They were LUCKY to beat Philly based on:
      • Foles under-throwing a wide open Ertz when it should have been 21-0
      • Graham dropping a scoop and score in his hands or at least setting Philly up deep in Saints territory
      • Jeffrey dropping a ball in his hands
      • Those are 3 huge unforced errors that had nothing to do with the Saints
  • I'd favor Chicago on a neutral field.
  • I'd favor the Rams on a neutral field.

Those sad illegal whistling clowns had a protest parade AFTER:

  • They had a chance to stop LA short of a FG in regulation and failed.
    • The Rams marched 45 yards on them to get in range
  • They had the ball in OT and failed.
    • Their O-line got demolished on back to back plays of Ingram getting blown up for a loss and Bress getting hit into a pick.
  • They could have stopped the Rams in OT and failed.
    • 15 yards was all the Rams needed and New Orleans gave it up.

They played 2 home playoff games where they were not all that impressive in either game.

Lets pretend that team would have beaten Brady. xD

The 2015 Broncos were 4/1/8 defensively  scoring/yards/turnovers. They were not all that historically special.

  • The Chiefs in their own division were 3/7/5 and compare closely with the Broncos in their games against common opponents
    • Chargers x2, Raiders x2, NFC North, AFC North - Cincy
    • You can throw out the Bengals because the Broncos faced AJ McCarron while the Chiefs faced Dalton.
    • Rodgers was the big outlier with Denver killing him at Mile High and him going nuts on KC in Green Bay.
    • The Bills and the Texans did fairly well against the Chiefs while the Colts and Patriots did fairly well against the Broncos in the regular season.

I think that D is remembered more flatteringly because of Bryan Stork's head-bobs and Cam filling his diaper as the LVP of Super Bowl L.

Here are some other Super Bowl Defense rankings.

  • The 1985 Bears were 1/1/1
  • The 2000 Ravens were 1/2/1
  • The 2013 Seahawks were 1/1/1
  • The 2008 Steelers were 1/1/8
