Now, your probably not going to want to read this, because it has some out of the box thinking. So, buckle up and enjoy the ride. Packers 2021 Cap space is showing just over $47m, $30-$32m of that is going to have to go towards David Bakhtiari and Kenny Clark. Those to me are the must signs out of the list of Aaron Jones, Corey Linsley, Kevin King, Jamaal Williams, Allen Lazard, Montravius Adams, Tim Williams, Tyler Ervin, Devin Funchess and Lane Taylor. Bold Predictions: #1. Packers will not draft a ILB #2. Packers will not draft a QB #3. Packers will not trade up or down. #4. 90% of you will not like this mock. 2020 Mock Draft. #30. Scouting Report: Jaylon Johnson School: Utah Position: Cornerback Class: Junior Height: 6’0″ Weight: 190 Scouting Report: A true potential shutdown corner, that has the combination of physical and mental make up that allows him to be extremely aggressive in coverage. A leader on and off the field, and also is a student of the game and an excellent student in the classroom. Possessing ideal size and speed, he followed up an injury plagued freshman season with a stellar sophomore campaign. Can cover all over the field and isn’t a liability against either big tight ends, or small, shifty running backs. Is productive in all aspects of coverage, leading the league in INT’s, but also a productive tackler. Has proven himself against NFL caliber receivers and never looks he is being bested. (Why? Well, you need 3 good CB's, so with Alexander, King and Johnson you have that, plus he's insurance if King walks next year.) #62. Scouting Report: Justin Madubuike School: Texas A&M Position: Defensive Tackle Class: Junior Height: 6’3″ Weight: 300 Scouting Report: One gap pass interior pass rusher that can be extremely disruptive in the pass game. Uses a combination of pass rush moves to get past blockers. Able to get thin and quickly get by centers and guards, which is a coveted skill at the next level. Excellent burst off of the snap. Will need to continue to add some more strength to his anchor to hold up with two gapping assignments. Has experience lining up at different places, and is versatile enough to play in any scheme. (This pick allows Lancaster to move back to a back up player for Clark and Madubuike.) TRADE ALERT!!!! Packers send RB Aaron Jones to the NYJ for pick #68. (Why? I know some of you have blown your stacks, but face the facts. The Packers can't afford all of their 2021 free agents and $12-$14m for Jones is to much. (IMO) Packers then lock up Jamaal Williams to a longer and cheaper deal to take over the #1 RB job.) #68. Bryan Edwards WR S. Caroline 6'2" 215lbs. 40 time 4.55 "Well built, highly productive split end with frame, reliable hands and fighter mentality. Active route runner who uses variety of dekes and techniques to rip though coverage. Strong hands and turns into a angry running back after the catch. Average top end speed, not as consistently physical as a blocker downfield." Lindy's Sport #92. Scouting Report: Tyler Biadasz School: Wisconsin Position: Center Class: Junior Height: 6-3 Weight: 325 Scouting Report: Extremely powerful, smash-mouth type center that doesn’t need the extra help from other offensive linemen to block top tier defensive linemen. Excels with a combination of power and balance. Works best in close quarters where his lack of arm length could get him into problems, but shouldn’t hinder him at center in most blocking schemes. Able to road grade in the run game, and has the footwork to hold up to recover, even when caught off balance in pass protection. (I know, some of you think he will go lower, but not me. Patrick and Biadasz will battle for the starting C job. Yep, TRADE ALERT!!!!!!! Packers send C Corey Linsley to the Dallas Cowboys for pick #123. Packers just saved $8.5m this year and have one less free agent to worry about next year, plus they get younger and stronger.) #123. Scouting Report: Lynn Bowden Jr. School: Kentucky Position: Wide Receiver Class: Junior Height: 6’1″ Weight: 200 Scouting Report: One of the most versatile offensive weapons in college football, Bowden has experience at receiver, quarterback and in the kicking game. Is extremely dangerous in the open field and can be moved all over the field in a creative offense. As a receiver, runs smooth, fluid routes. Gets out of breaks quickly and has an excellent burst after breaks, allowing him to easily get separation. Top end speed is also excellent. Is a natural catcher and thrower of the ball. (Why? Here is your true slot guy that also offers RS skills.) #136. Darrynton Evans RB/KR Appalachian St. 5'11" 200lbs. 40 time 4.41 "Classic slasher type, with a great combination of acceleration, lateral burst and top speed. Rushed 179 times for 1187 yards, a 6.6 average in 2018. Won 2019 Sun Belt Offensive Player of the year honors with 1678 total yards and 23 touchdowns. (Will get to battle for the #2 job with Dexter Williams and some UDFA's.) #176. Scouting Report: Chauncy Haney School: North Greenville Position: Defensive End Class: Junior Height: 6’5″ Weight: 250 Projected Draft Round: 4-6 Scouting Report: Small school defensive prospect with a long frame, but slight in build. Gifted pass rusher that has strength and speed off of the edge. Gets leverage quickly, and has been able to beat tackles with speed and power. At the next level would need to continue to add to his core strength to deal with stronger offensive linemen and to hold up against the run. Has shown remarkable pass rush skills at the college level, and teams that prize constant pressure off of the edge could be interested in the middle rounds. A very high ceiling, but still developmental prospect. (This is my small school surprise pick, battles Tim Williams, Greg Roberts and Ramsey for the #4 OLB/Edge job.) #193. Alex Taylor T S. Carolina St. 6'8" 308lbs. 40 time 5.20 "36 1/8" arm length, 88" wingspan and size 11 hands. Complements his massive frame with impressive agility and does not back down from a physical challenge. Former HS basketball player. Performed well in Mobile against elite talent and created a buzz." Lindy's Sports (Learns behind Bak, Wagner and Jared Veldheer. Yeah, Veldheer is resigned for one year $5m to back up both T spots.) #208. Scouting Report: Darryl Williams School: Mississippi State Position: Offensive Guard/Center Class: Senior Height: 6’2 Weight: 305 Scouting Report: Exceptional interior offensive lineman that works best within smaller spaces. Locks on to defenders and has excellent strength to secure the block. Lower body strength is also very good, and can drive defenders back in the run game to make lanes. A clear interior blocker that won’t be considered as a tackle, but when given fixed zones to work with, is an elite run and pass blocker. (Why? This guy was ranked high last year as a Guard, but stayed at school and moved to Center. Offers depth at IOL and give the OL some flexibility if injureies occure, which this year they will. Last year they had few.) #209. James Pierre S/CB Florida Atlantic 6'1" 190ilbs. 40 time 4.5 "Plays bigger then his size, confident and aggressive tackler, including open field. Position versalility with experience on ST including as a returner." Lindy's Sports #237. Scouting Report: Robert Windsor School: Penn State Position: Defensive Tackle Class: Senior Height: 6’4″ Weight: 290 Scouting Report: Technician on the defensive line, Windsor is a long, agile defensive tackle that uses his hands and feet in harmony to get penetration. Productive when asked to one gap, he has the height and wing span that teams with varying schemes will be intrigued by. Has actually slimmed down to be more of a pass rusher in a 4-3, but 3-4 teams will also covet him as an end. A smart, experienced player that has lots of experience and production against top competition. (Depth) #243. Scouting Report: Jared Pinkney School: Vanderbilt Position: Tight End Class: Senior Height: 6-5 Weight: 255 Scouting Report: Big bodied tight end that is a true combination of pass catcher and blocker. Excels at exploding out of cuts extremely well for a player his size and has an excellent knack for getting open. Runs crisp, well executed routes. Catches the ball away from his body well, and can post up defenders when coming back to the ball. (Here is a guy that seems to be falling down a lot of big boards, but a steal here. Sternberger is the starter, Pinkney and Tonyan will battle it out for the #2 and #4 spot. Lewis is the Hback/blocker.) UDFA's LeVante Bellamy RB W.
