Gruden liked Michael Thomas more bc Thomas was a better route runner w/ stronger hands but Doctson was more athletic w/ upside in that area so McCloughan took him. Then, he followed that up by drafting Sua who I thought was going to be good but bc of his flakiness he became a bust and obviously didn’t love football, he just did it for the $/fame & bc he was good at it. Just one reason the firing of McCoughan was justified, but I will give him credit for taking Scherff over Leonard Williams - I hated that decision- but it ended up being the right one.
