Tugboat Posted June 1, 2021 Share Posted June 1, 2021 Makes sense. Spend that many years as a "Special Teams Ace", you're bound to end up with a pretty solid basis for jumping into coaching it. Seems like he's had plenty of experience around NFL coaching, getting his feet wet with it. Also have to imagine that Urban will be inclined to make himself more involved with Special Teams than your typical coach, given the emphasis he's been known to put on it's importance. Which...hopefully isn't putting too much on his own plate. But when you have an unexpected vacancy on your staff at that point in the year, you've gotta fill it with what you can, and hopefully others in the organization can also pitch in to make up the difference.
