This is a big one.

Mahomes makes 200 career TDs and does it in just 84 games. The old record was Dan Marino in 89 games.

Just two games later, Mahomes becomes the youngest player to beat all 31 other teams.

Here are some other things to watch for tonight.

  • Reid can become the winningest HC in franchise history against the Eagles tonight.
  • The Chiefs can become the 3rd team in history to complete at least 15 passes in 100 straight games.
  • It's week #11 and Butker still has not missed.

Pop needs 65 yards for 1k

Rice needs 62 yards for 1k

Rice already has the franchise rookie record for receptions and TDs. He's second to Dwayne Bowe in yards.

It is not the standard I would use, but winning in Buffalo will give Mahomes 13 playoff wins, moving him into the top 10 all-time.

The standard I would choose--15--would put him 3rd. It could come with another Super Bowl win.

One for the record books against Buffalo.

  • Mahomes moves into the top 10 in postseason wins, see last post.
  • Mahomes to Kelce broke the Brady to Gronk record for playoff TDs.
  • 6 straight Conference Championship games is 2nd all time.

One of the most poignant and historic memories in Kansas City Chiefs history occurred on January 23, 1994, during the AFC Championship game against the Buffalo Bills. This game was particularly emotional because it featured the Chiefs' legendary quarterback Joe Montana, who had joined the team in a dramatic trade from the San Francisco 49ers in 1993.

Montana, known for his poise and clutch performances, had led the Chiefs through a strong playoff run that year, igniting hope among fans that he could take them to the Super Bowl. The AFC Championship game held at Buffalo’s Rich Stadium was a chance to break a long-standing Super Bowl drought for the Chiefs.

The game itself was intense and fraught with high emotions. The Chiefs had a solid start, but as the game progressed, Buffalo’s defense tightened. Montana was under heavy pressure throughout the game, and in a heart-dropping moment, he suffered a concussion in the third quarter after a hit by Bills' linebacker Bruce Smith. This injury forced him out of the game, significantly dampening the Chiefs’ offensive capabilities.

The sight of Montana, dazed and being helped off the field, was a gut-wrenching moment for Chiefs fans. Despite their hopes and the magical aura that Montana brought to the team, the Chiefs were unable to recover from his departure from the game. They ultimately lost 30-13 to the Bills, who advanced to their fourth consecutive Super Bowl.

This game remains etched in the memories of Chiefs fans not only for its high stakes but also for the emotional rollercoaster it presented. It symbolized a moment of what could have been—a potential Super Bowl appearance with one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time leading the charge. The game is often recalled as a testament to Montana’s fighting spirit and the passionate pursuit of glory that marked his brief but memorable tenure with the Chiefs.

A what now? I think that’s the first time I’ve ever seen Bruce Smith mislabeled as a linebacker.
