dll2000
What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. Ecclesiastes 1:9. This is true in all of life and in football. Everybody copies everybody and history repeats. That being said this man was one of the few original and independent thinkers in the game. Not everything he did worked. But his willingness to innovate and experiment paved way for new systems and inspired a lot of offenses. He didn't just go with something someone else was doing. The game will truly miss him because there are very few risk takers and free thinkers like him. Without those people we don't move forward. Sorry for his family and the people who knew him.

Big personality, and an innovative mind that produced great college offenses and launched a pretty impressive coaching tree. R.I.P.
