Brady refused to go further. Manning equivocated among several players and never made a choice. Who do you think the next few are--in order--and why? diamondbull424 Posted August 27 Share Posted August 27 Stroud. Did things as a rookie we’ve rarely ever seen in the history of the NFL. Thats generally a prerequisite for most all time greats. Stafford is too old. Same with Dak. If they were going to be surefire top 5 options than they would already be that in the eyes of greats. They’re likely searching for something more, the absolute X factor. Which Stroud appears to have and when you look at Tua, Purdy, and Lawrence… they have not shown that absolute X factor. So IMO you’re left with Love, Herbert, Stroud, and maybe a Caleb Williams (absolute projection) that could have that potential. Regardless, for the purposes of the question: Argument to be there right now: Herbert Stafford Dak Purdy Everything we've seen so far says yes, but we need more than one season: Love Stroud If they find their consistency, they will be there: Hurts Tua Those are the guys who fit into that 5 spot, assuming we mostly all agree on Mahomes Allen Burrow Lamar as the stuck members of the top 5. He was asked for his top 5, only mentioned 5 QBs in the video, and Herbert wasn't even the final guy he mentioned. Not sure what you're on about.
