  1. DVOA is computed on a per snap basis, not per game. The average number of offensive + defensive snaps last year for a given team was right around 2,050 snaps (128 snap average per game x 16 games). That's more than enough of a sample size to draw conclusions from. That's not even including special teams snaps. 5 weeks in is 640 snaps by the way.
  2. Did you even watch the Redskins-Chiefs game? This is the problem with scoreboard watching. We were down 17-20 with 51 seconds left and would have taken the lead if Josh Doctson had come down with the catch in the end zone. We ended up tying the game with a FG, but then Smith marched his team down the field against our depleted defense and kicked the FG to go ahead 23-20 with 4 seconds left. The reason the score was 29-20 at the end was because of a bunch of desperation laterals leading to a Chiefs defensive touchdown. You're really gonna try to claim the Eagles came closer to the win?
  3. We're one Jamison Crowder fumble away from possibly winning that game, and our Special Teams in ranked 23rd in DVOA for exactly that reason (he's had multiple fumbles already), so I'm not exactly sure how you can be so confident you guys are all that much better than us.
  4. It's definitely not the end-all be-all, but, DVOA in particular, can give you a more in-depth look at where your team ranks among the rest of the league when you adjust for SOS. I think it's useful.
  5. DVOA is trying to predict future success based on a play-by-play analysis and the strength of your opponent. It's a deeper dive than just simplistically looking at the scoreboard. But if scoreboard is all you understand, feel free to focus on that.
  6. Not even close. DVOA is actually thoroughly explained and easily defended. Click the link and educate yourself.
  7. http://www.footballoutsiders.com/dvoa-ratings/2017/week-5-dvoa-ratings Redskins 2nd in DVOA. Philly is 5th. Dallas is 23rd. New York is 26th.
  8. A wife who hates the Cowboys? I approve.

  11. I know... it was just a good segway to post that video of the commentator butchering McVay and juggernaut
  12. They hinted at a future romance much more strongly in the books IMO. I don't think there are enough episodes left for it to make sense in the show.
  13. Yea, I got distracted with something else and completely argued against myself in that post without realizing it lol.
  14. Get an actual good back-up RB? And be able to install their offense with Dak as more of the focal point year 3.
  15. Because they likely would rather have a full offseason to plan for his absence. Not to mention, it's a Win Now league.
  16. That was my initial thought, but I'm not so sure... it kind of came out of nowhere.
  17. So, has anyone figured out the meaning behind Tyrion's creepy lingering in the hallway during the Jon/Dany sex scene?
  18. Yea, I agree. Alshon will definitely get his.
  19. Norman was getting destroyed in practice against D Jax all last offseason. I think he focuses much more on fine-tuning different techniques in practice rather than caring about shutting the WR down. It's obviously a much different story when the bright lights come on. He really is the ultimate "gamer" IMO.
  20. I hope if Jaime is indeed taken prisoner that Dany isn't stupid enough to do a Jaime for Asha Greyjoy swap.
