In this thread you can post who you would pick with each of Chicago's draft picks. Build your drat class for bragging rights for the years to come. Will you draft the next Urlacher or the next Khaseem Greene? Dent or Haynes? Do you strike gold in a surprise all-time great like Hester? Yes we lack the jawline and executive savvy of Ryan Pace, and yes we lack the money and prestigious dream job, and yes this can go on for a while but lets not be depressing, because we can be the GM in this corner of the footballsfuture website!!!! And Pace isn't invited!!

Think he's jealous?

Well too damn bad Pace!

Quick Rules

1. No editing posts. I'll compile each of your picks at the end and add your entire draft class to the 2nd post.

2. Try to post your picks ASAP. Of course we have jobs/responsibilities so you're not on the clock, but showing up at the end with a list of picks looks suspicious. Having one pick at a time or even two rounds in the same day together seems far more honest.

3. Don't mock people for their picks. If you want to discuss and debate them or anything great, but seriously, don't be a douchebag.

4. If the Bears trade down or up and you don't want them to - pick at the previous spot. You are not tied to Pace's trade. Just don't make picks with new assets gained in the tradeback.

5. You can take trades from other teams, as long as you don't get any additional assets and they are 5 or less slots BEHIND you. For example, say NE trades up to 10 to get a QB, and they give a 1st this tea and next, plus a 2nd this year. You can accept that trade and get those picks, but gain nothing more for being two picks ahead.

- If you make a pick then see this happen - don't edit - just make a new post saying you instead make the trade with "X" instead of drafting "___________"

- Make sure to draft on newly acquired assets if you make the trades, don't shortchange yourself.

My 2019 Draft Class

EDGE/5T - Anthony Nelson

S/CB - Amani Oruwari

HB Trayveon Williams

Tyree Jackson - QB

David Sills - WR

HB/FB Alex Barnes

Nelson is a physical specimen who tested very similarly to Bosa, and has a hot motor to pair with it. He has room for more mass and is one of the best technicians as a passrusher in the draft. He is not as versatile as Floyd but will be a better actual passrusher IMO, and I just am not sure Pace can afford Floyd when Jackson and others are looking for their paydays.

Oruwari is a guy who can bully WRs at the line with his size/strength but also excels in man and zone coverage. He is a potential replacement for either Prince, Skrine, or Haha. I love how he attacks the ball like a WR.

Williams is the best RB prospect on the board (and without the trade up that Pace did I feel it is safe to say Montgomery would have been gone) so I take Williams here. He is an athlete who is hard to tackle in space and has good hands. I didn't like the idea of him at 87 but I am more than happy to see him here. While he may not be THE solution at RB, he can definitely be part of it.

While he surely isn't in Cam Newton's class athletically he is not far from it, physically very similarly to a mix of Cam and Josh Allen. As far as his QB ability he has a lot of Allen to him, with a crazy strong arm and the ability to make throws anywhere, but also to miss any throw as well. His accuracy is poor, his footwork is back, and he was not coached up well in college. He is a draft and develop guy who may never make it as a back up, but if he develops you're looking at a back up that is a physical mirror of Trubisky - guys who can make plays with their feet, hit all levels of the field, and can get outside the pocket to open passing lanes. Unlike with Daniel, the scheme doesn't need a big change if Jackson develops.

Sills is a QB turned WR, and I want to get him to bulk up to be the flex end that tries to usurp Burton. He understands leverage and zone concepts from his time as a QB and was a major goal line threat. He doesn't have elite traits physically but was able to be a dominant goal line option and unlike Burton he does very well with contested catches. Absolutely needs to get stronger though, he is a decent guy in the open field but his play strength (and weight) is well below what you want from a even a flex end. Or if the staff feels Wims is the better suit for that flex TE role then Sills can become a possession and goal line specialist, likely using his physicality to be a big slot WR.

Barnes is a weapon and a steal in the 7th IMO. Physically he matched up well with Chubb, and in college he was the lone talent on a horrendous offense. He has experience running, catching, and even lead blocking due to their option plays. With Davis, Cohen, and Williams being the top 3 RBs he carves out a role with them still, replacing Mizzell entirely, and Michael Burton being cut as well. This dual position allows us to keep a young talent elsewhere at WR or TE too. As a FB he is not a guy who is just there to block, he will be able to run or catch passes, so defenses cannot become predictable when he comes on the field ( as they did when M Burton was in). While he is already a big back, I want to continue to add weight (20 pounds or so) even at the expense of a little speed to allow him to better handle the physicality of lead blocking and to make him that much more of a punishing player to tackle.

Sorry I can't play your game.   I didnt study enough of players before this draft like I usually do.

Part of it was time and part of it was Bears lack of picks left me just wanting to wait and see and look at them after.

I didn't either. So I am really going to be shooting myself later. All my players are going way earlier than I hoped. lol
