The talent up front is (and definately will be with Young) there to run any front they want. I assume Del Rio knows this and it’s a big reason why he, and for that matter Rivera, came aboard. Well that’s not making the defense simpler for our players, especially our young players. If we continue to run multiple schemes and have a complex defense I don’t see our defense improving much. One of the biggest problems for our defense this decade - besides lack of talent - is that the schemes weren’t simple enough and players would blow assignments. We should run one scheme and stick to that scheme. If we are going to run a 4-3, we should run the 4-3 like we used to and when we go to nickel just take one LB off the field and put in the slot corner but run the same scheme.
