How did I lose this game? I was up around 12 near half time, then my team just collapsed offensively. My rotation was working great, the starting lineup was long and shutting them down defensively, and Norberg came out and started hitting buckets early. Then their defense starting collapsing in on Norberg, and since none of my other 2nd unit can shoot there was no one to kick it out to. So I had to keep driving with a 5’9” PG at Clint Capela and he just was destroying me. It through my whole offense out of whack. It came down to the last few seconds of the game, SG Bradley Chase hit a layup with 6 seconds left to give me the lead. They called timeout to advance the ball and hit a 3 pointer at the buzzer for the win. Disgusting.

My offense just runs better with Norberg and Chase out there together. Chase had a big game again leading my team with 34 points. He hit SIX 3 pointers, which was awesome. He was pretty much my only player who could hit a 3 though. Dunleavy was an abysmal 2 for 12 from deep. PF Stefano Mancini was probably the player of the game for me though. He had 26 points and 18 rebounds, and played really good interior defense getting 4 blocks. His rebounding numbers are surprising because he’s a little undersized at 6’9”, and his rebounding attributes aren’t incredible. In the live games he’s just a little quicker than the opposing bigs though which gets him to the ball faster. He’s supposedly a good shooter, but I couldn’t hit anything with him except for pounding inside. I’m still adjusting to Norberg’s size. I was blocked quite a few times inside again with him. I’ve found that its better in the pick n roll to pull up for a midrange jumper with him rather than go all the way to the hoop. I was doing that in the 4th Quarter and was really owning the Knicks. Backup Center Jimmy Landry also had a fantastic game giving me big numbers off the bench. His 16 points inside came off of a lot of 2nd chance offensive rebounds. His 42 points and 10 assists led the way and really got the offense going. This was the first game I was able to get my 3 point shot going, Norberg and Chase had 6 three pointers a piece! Dunleavy added another 4 and Tarlac 2 more. Really though, even with all of those 3 pointers I think I won this game due to my aggressiveness driving to the rim and all of the free throws it generated. If you look at the stats both teams were nearly tied in almost every category except I had a ton of more free throws. The only issue is I don’t have an ideal slasher. Norberg can get by the first defender but he gets destroyed at the rim. Chase isn’t much better at 6’4”. Dunleavy doesn’t seem to handle the ball well enough or have enough burst, and Mancini simply isn’t fast enough to beat his first defender and get by him. Really, Tarlac has had some of the best success, but that was mostly against backups. Rookie Center Julian Hammons had a big game with 12 points and 20 rebounds. His defense is solid and although he’s raw now I think he’ll develop into a good player. Rookie SG Julian Stewart has also had a good series, mostly as a defender. He’s actually a decent slasher too, which I have to use him for because he can’t shoot at all. The issue is he’s such a bad shooter that when he gets fouled he misses free throws. I need to work on that. This was a fun series, but I have a rematch against the 76ers up next. *This is 5'9" Norberg guarding 6'5" Ntilikina. *Then a minute later 5'9" Norberg dunked. I was SHOCKED. He hadn't done that before lol.

I was up 3 points with around 10 seconds left, they drove down the court and hit a 3 to tie it up with 4 seconds left in the game. I called timeout to move the ball to half court, and then inbounded to Bradley Chase who hit the game winner. Bradley is money in clutch situations. I turned the ball over entirely too much early in the game. The 76ers ended up with 22 steals and 12 blocks, that is completely unacceptable. They are a really good team, but lucky for me their best player PG Leo Smith (90) is out for the year with a torn ACL. So they’re short handed, they forced 22 steals and I still pulled out the win. I feel like this was their one chance to steal a game from me. I destroyed them in rebounding, and I had my 3 point shot going. Chase and Norberg both hit 4 threes a piece, and Dunleavy added 2 more. I had 4 players with 10+ rebounds: Mancini, Hammons, Clement and Landry. Mancini was the star of the game, the pick n roll with Norberg didn’t really work well against the Knicks but it owns the 76ers. I don’t know why they don’t have Simmons guarding the 4, cause their PF is too slow to cover Mancini. His 20 rebounds were huge too.

Well the first nickname anyone thinks of when talking about a short basketballer has to be "Muggsy" Opposite descriptors are a fairly common way of coming up with nickname (at least in Australia) too - so you could call him "Biggy". "Tiny" might be fitting if you wanted to go the other way. Or maybe something related to his heritage? The "Swedish Meatball" perhaps?
