Ravens Bring Back Michael Pierce 3-year 16.5M Deal

If Pierce can carry that form over and not collapse as he did previously during his contract year for us, I'm really excited about the kind of interior heat we can bring. Pierce, Campbell, Year 3 Madubuike, Travis Jones, and whatever we can get out of Derek Wolfe? That's a pretty awesome interior rotation. There's no bonafide elite stud in there like a Buckner, Jones, or Donald- all of them can bring some havoc though. Also curious if MM's scheme will let guys like Buike one gap and get after it a little more. Even more than the outside guys, it's felt like we've handcuffed our interior rushers for a while now.

Probably the most hype I've felt about our DI talent in years. There's not many IOLs in the league that can handle a fresh rotation of all those monsters. Get Houston back with Year 2 Oweh, a hopefully healthy Bowser, and some mid-late year heroics from Ojabo and you'll really have something.

It's also a make or break year for guys like Harrison and Queen. If you can't produce and play impact football behind all of these behemoths, the problem is with you. I never thought we'd extend Queen(barring some insane fire your agent team friendly deal) anyway, because unless you have an all round HOF type talent like Kuechly or a defense changing specialist like Fred Warner it makes no sense. It would be nice for him to help the team in the present with good play and the future by auditioning for a hefty comp pick though. It's Year 3 for him and we won't be picking up his 5th Year option. He'll hit FA at 24 YO and could still fetch a pretty big deal by some team who thinks they can afford to roll the dice on him continuing to ascend into that 'difference maker' category. Kind of sucks to think about such a recent 1st Round pick in those terms, but that's the reality of the LB position. In modern football, there's only going to ever be like 2-3 off ball LBs worthy of getting a max deal from a team paying franchise money to a QB. Which is why you don't draft them in the 1st Round unless they are that Lewis or Kuechly level talent. We should've traded up for Lamb or Jefferson that year. What's done is done though, and I hope PQ balls out for us in 22'.
