lumberjackchris
I don’t know how serious it is. He even mentioned he hasn’t been running/doing agility work. Maybe he can ramp up and join the playoff push.

So I wouldn’t put it out of the realm of possibilities

As a situational pass rusher he absolutely could help. His presence alone helps. Remember, he also can rush from the DT spot. You could easily have JJ, Grennard, WAJ all on the field at the same time. And WAJ has experience rushing as a OLB in college. You make it work if the opportunity is there.

He did have 10.5 sacks last season with a much worse supporting cast. It's not like he retired because he wasn't performing, he was playing at a high level with Az. Edit: 12.5 sacks, actually - along with 18 TFLs and 25 QB hits. Sure, he's not the same guy we watch carry this team in the mid '10s, but he was a menace last season with All Pro-esque numbers. Men lie, women lie, numbers dont.......the data clearly shows JJ would help. Not sure why anyone would argue against it.

Watt seems like the type who would want to play the whole season. Not suit up for the last half to ring chase. Also think his rights are still owned by Arizona. Would have to be released and clear waivers, although I have no idea how that process goes.
