When big, strong Tackles get their hands on him in the run game, he's basically eliminated. It's where his mediocre athleticism and functional play strength really show up to me. When he's not able to "gameplan" and attack on his terms. The script gets flipped and he can get absolutely swallowed up. Just doesn't have the raw strength and explosiveness to completely pivot if his "plan A and B" don't get off on the right track. Gets by a lot on "outsmarting" and "out techniquing" guys. That's not to say he's undisciplined as a run defender at all. He clearly understands responsibilities and against the majority of college OLines, he can maintain reasonable integrity there. But it's the instances where he comes up against NFL caliber power and length in an OT that he can be erased in both elements, and i worry that it's only going to become more regular and pronounced at the next level.
