"Some people close to Lewis Cine are “incredibly happy with the Vikings front office, specifically GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah”.

"Sounds like Kwesi made some phone calls to help Cine out after he was waived. “Now Lewis will end up with the Buffalo Bills, but that Kwesi was very helpful, that multiple people close to Lewis are very happy. Yes, it's disappointing, it didn't work out, but there are no hard feelings that I heard from a couple people saying, hey Kwesi was great during this process.”

Players from other teams remember this kind of stuff, good move by Kwesi

it's very genuine, it's not a ploy or a strategy. not that i'm inferring you think it is.

O'Connell is the same type of person. he's way beyond being a "players' coach."

when Cine broke his leg, it was in London, and he had to stay behind there for a week or so before he could travel back to the US. he even had his birthday there while he was in the hospital. O'Connell and the ENTIRE TEAM surprised Cine that day by having a video conference that everyone was on, when Cine thought it was just going to be his coach.

O'Connell was heartbroken that Cine was so seriously injured (compound fracture) but even more so that the team had to leave him behind on another continent.

Pretty happy Buffalo picked him up. He'll likely become nothing, but McD should be able to squeeze every ounce of potential out of him. He's also reuniting with one of his defensive coaches. Good risk to take.
