Packers do NOT place QB Jordan Love on IR; To start QB Malik Willis

I think last week they were overstating that he might play and this week they are understating it.  I believe we’ll see Love back in action and really hope he’s ready to jump right in and light it up starting with a tough divisional game on Sunday.

Going forward, I wouldn’t be upset if Malik gets some short yardage plays. He would be pretty tough to defend in those situations where he can sling it, beat you to the edge or just put it in gear and go right up the middle.  This would also take some snaps off of our QB1 with a healing MCL. Might be nice not to have to end up in any piles in the near future. Who knows how coach will play it, and no way a healthy Love sits more than a few snaps but it could be a creative way to use Willis’ strongest attributes.

There is no QB controversy lmao. Malik had a great two games but that’s because there’s no tape on him in this scheme. He’s still an extremely limited passer.

MLF devised two great gameplanes wtih almost no risky throws.  Run, run, run some more was Malik's first start.

Second start was run, run, run, pass a little, run, run......

Offense opened up a little, but just a little.  Malik took a few deeper shots and schemed shots.  Hit them all.

Once JA got the pick 6, it was kindda game over, so GB went back into a more conservative offense.

I'm loving what Malik has done, but it's MLF and our defense who has put him in a great situation....and he hasn't screwed it up, yet.
