  1. It's easy to amass passing yards when you're spamming 40 pass attempts a game (Geno, Dak). Purdy is the only on this list outside the top 10 in pass attempts and he has them all cooked in efficiency.
  2. i dont see them fixing RZ issues. and if we have a backup kicker... yikes (though the only thing reliable about shaky jake moody is being unreliable when the game is on the line) odds makers have been so generous with us being favorites. CMC is gone. Mason is banged up. We all remember Deebo in the Superbowl. i dont have any reason to believe the 49ers oline is going to solve the chris jones problem. Aiyuk hasn't exactly been lighting the world on fire. the offense right now is Kittle and Jennings. is that enough?
  3. okay sure. the 49ers are 0-7 vs Mahomes, Allen, and Jackson. and by the looks of things, 0-9 by the end of the season is a real possibility
  4. I have no love for Lombardi, but I'll give him credit where it's due... i respect the way he goes about his business - regardless of how much and how often Grant mocks him on social media. Rarely, if ever, have I seen Lombardi engage or respond to Grant over the years. I can think of a 49ers player or two who could probably take a lesson from Lombardi. Because no matter what Grant says about any one player... he's 100x worse towards Lombardi. Except maybe towards Jimmy Garoppolo, but Jimmy Garoppolo kind of deserved it for being such a flake.
  5. Fields has a 93 passer rating. he's accounted for 10 TDs (5 pass 5 rush) in 6 games and only 2 turnovers. he's avg 4 yards a carry. Steelers staff must really have a hard-on for Russell Wilson to make this change.
  6. Just block chris jones and score touchdowns. and master the art of the 4 minute offense.
  7. im still fuming that we didn't beat the Chiefs in the Superbowl. Beating the Chiefs in October would just piss me off even more
  8. Only Lombardi would post something like that and be absolutely dead serious about it. What a weirdo.
  9. if we're going to lose... i'd rather they just made it quick and put us out early. but that's not really how the chiefs win these days. they like to play with their food.
  10. friendly fire in a blowout loss too. sheesh
  11. that's hard to do.. their defense is so damn good and there is nearly no lead that is safe with Shanahan's 49ers they have earned their Master's Degree in the art of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory
  12. of all the times we've faced Mahomes this is definitely the least confident i've been. but i dont care about the chiefs in october. just focused to winning the division this year - the rest will sort itself out later.
  13. Getting rid of Derek Carr and Josh Jacobs didn't help. i mean if you don't like carr fine... but when your alternative is jimmy freaking garoppolo... who is simply a worse derek carr what is going on here? now youre juggling minshew and aiden.... yikes.
  14. I saw this somewhere but i forget who pointed it out... "49ers can't build a good team if they pay Brock Purdy" They built a superbowl team after making Jimmy Garoppolo the highest paid QB in the league before they were good. they even blew a bunch of first round picks on busts like Lance and Kinlaw in the process. Obviously now they have other players taking up big chunks of cap space but several of them likely won't be around by the time the heft of Purdy's contract kicks in. Trent is 36. Juice is 33. Kittle and Hargrave are 31. Deebo and CMC are 28 and have a lot of hard mileage on their bodies. not sucking at drafting over the next couple of years will go a long way.
  15. were they though? they made the playoffs with an interim head coach just 3 years ago. 27 teams have fired their HC by week 6 since the merger... Raiders are the only one who made the playoffs.
