What are the key concepts to the Dirk Koetter Offense?

Throw it deep. And if it doesn't work, throw it deep a little bit more. Work the intermediate. Quick outs and checkdowns are the devil.

RBs are more important as pass blockers than runners.

Pretty sure we’ve incorporated more air raid to our offense.

That would be Monken. Koetter is almost all Air Coryell. He wants explosives. Monken ran Air Raid at Oklahoma State so he's implemented a lot of it into the playbook.

And we saw the difference almost immediately. DJax is running quick outs. Howard is running drag routes. Fitz made a lot of "easier" throws than we've seen from Koetter's offenses. We still take our shots, but Monken's mixing it up a lot more.

Hell, Fitz ran a QB sneak to convert a third and one. I don't think Koetter has called a QB sneak since he's been here.

Say what you want about the scheme Monken brings in, bajakien and Monken time after time have to tell him to take what the defense gives to him and winston fails.

Hate to say it but you can dial down an offense to incorporate easier throws for winston. He always wants to make the big throws. And it bites him.

You saw it in preseason he’d loft it in to triple coverage off his back foot.

Once. For a TD. ?

He also lead the league in passer rating during the preseason. And completed like 70% of his passes. In Monken's revamped offense.

For a TD. Is that the smartest throw going forward? If he continues decisions like that he needs consistent miracles.

70% completion percentage against second and third string vanilla preseason defenses. Come on dude

He was playing with the ones too. And throwing to the backups against other backups.

I literally watched Big Ben do the same thing last Sunday. Guy just tossed it into the EZ to AB with 3 defenders around him. Guy is a gunslinger live and die by the gun.
