Howler Posted January 5, 2019 Author Share Posted January 5, 2019 McCarthy is a good coach, but not a great one. There aren't many of those. With that said, I would not be surprised, if he got the jets in the playoffs by year 2 or year 3. His biggest strengths are building team culture and coaching up QBs. His in-game management is suspect though. Jamal Adams will be happy if they hire McCarthy because the internal turmoil that plagued the jets will be flushed out.
