Jersey numbers assigned to new Bears additions

The Chicago Bears have had a busy offseason addressing their needs as they head into a new season with high expectations.

The Bears lost Bryce Callahan and Adrian Amos, among others, to free agency and recently traded running back Jordan Howard to the Eagles. While the Bears didn’t make a big splash in free agency like last year, they did make a concerted effort to bring in the guys that they believed would help fill those holes and help solidify this roster.

Among 2019’s new crop of Bears are running back Mike Davis, safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, nickelback Buster Skrine, kickers Chris Blewitt and Redford Jones, receiver Marvin Hall, and offensive lineman in Ted Larsen.Sign up for the Bears Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning

Blewitt will wear No. 2, which was also donned by Cairo Santos in his brief stint with the Bears in 2017. Redford will wear No. 6, which was worn by the likes of Kevin Butler and Jay Cutler.

Hall will wear No. 13, Clinton-Dix will wear No. 21, Skrine will wear Jordan Howard’s No. 24, Davis will wear No. 25, and Larsen will wear No. 62.

The Bears begin offseason workouts on April 15, which is when these new additions will get their first action in navy and orange.

I am not so sure Blewitt & Redford will be around long enough to make those jersey numbers permanent for this season, one or both will be cut certainly by pre-season.

Seeing HHCD in 21 will bring back Major Wright visuals. Hopefully he's muuuch better and the comparison stops at jersey number

I believe he wore #21 when he was with GB so at least he got his old number back.  Now.....he just needs to play like he did his first couple of years in the Tundra.

I dunno.  Somewhat depends on who else they're competing with and whether or not we draft a PK.

Pace seems to think he may have found a live prospect in Blewitt
