I've tried to find ways to make communication roles more powerful/interesting in my games, especially because I'm so partial to the neighborizor role, but in reality, thread and scum chat communication trump anything. And my understanding is that town really does not trust anything said in private communication from anyone that isn't absolutely confirmed town, in which case the confirmed town will just have pull in thread.

This one is certainly interesting since Comm is an additional ability on top of normal night abilities, but I don't see how any particular message can really swing the game in a meaningful way

giving results to a known town player so you dont have to claim.
