Aenima and Lateralus are their peak albums imo. 10,000 days got too ambient weird for my tastes. This new song appears to be heading even more in that direction. This new song appears to be heading even more in that direction. Lateralus is definitely their best. I liked 10,000 Days more and more as it aged, but I was a little disappointed in it at first. This first song just seems a little bland to be 10 minutes long. Everyone knows it's the deep cuts that make a Tool album anyway, but I'll take a mediocre Tool record over 13 years of nothing all day.
