The only reason I'd need both picks is that my roster will be sans King and Bledsoe. Basically this pick will be THE bench. And I'm not sure I'll have any cap to sign a FA. Before I do the draft I'm going to calculate my cap space to know better.

theJ
The Celtics want a ridiculous haul to move up to the #1 pick. They're proposing both #4 and #5, plus future picks and players, or either #4/5 plus McGuire or Burke. So i guess i'm not moving up there. Sucks because i know they're taking that monster Jessie Bernard and it'd be fun to have him. Oh well. I suppose if they surprise me i can try to move to #2. FWIW, i was offering them Meyers Leonard (79 OVR C) plus Pick #4 or #5. Which is a deal i would take in their situation. There are 4 or 5 really good players in this draft, and they need lots of help. It would drastically improve their squad.

theJ
In terms of offseason moves, here are the player and coaching adminstrative stuff Coaches Status quo. There really aren't any good coaches in the pickup pool, so i guess everyone is hoarding them and just extending them over and over. Players Exercised team option for Vin Hill (2.67M) Exercised team option for Scot Sheridan (2.67M) Markieff Morris exercised his 1 year player option wroth 3.23M Declined team option for Peter Boyd (2.76M) Extended qualifying offer to Tracy King (1 year, 6.63M) - He's likely gone, but i'd take him back if no one offered him a deal (very very very unlikely) Eric Bledsoe hit FA

theJ
One pre-draft trade Magic Robin Cartwright Clippers 2019 Pick 18 Cartwright is a 70 OVR, but as a stretch PF that can't defend, i never really gave him any PT. He was pretty PO'd all season. This is a good trade for the Clippers since they're unlikely to find a 70 OVR with B potential that late in the draft. This gives me a little cap relief and some roster fill under longer team control.
theJ
I ended up not being able to move up. Bernard was still available at #3, and the Lakers were willing to talk, but they overall wanted too much. So i had to stay put and make the two picks at #4/5. Fun fact, the Center i took at #60 is also a 7'6" monster. 2018-19 Draft Recap (Lottery Picks) Draft Pick Player Pos. theJ
Draft left me with 2.79M in cap, and 6.36M left on the mid-level exception. Vin Hill is the backup PG, so i don't need any particular position. Going to try to find a decent potential lower end roster fill to get 13 Free Agency Signed Kyle Lowry (66 OVR PG) to a 1 year 602K deal Signed Ivan Jukic (67 OVR SG) to a 2 year, 3.95M deal Lowry is a stop gap at 33, but he still has 5 sig skills including the Floor General skill (makes everyone better on offense when he's out there). So even though he's a 66 OVR, he can still be valuable. Ivan Jukic is 26 and has B potential still.
theJ
Oh good lord. I completely forgot about Tracy King, and he didn't accept any offers from other teams. So he accepted his qualifying offer that i offered him. I don't really want him. #1 he put me over the cap. #2 i'd like to get Hill on the court more, and now i have those two high picks that need to play as well. The only reason i tendered him was so that i could maybe bring him back if i packaged a bunch of picks and players to move up. So i'm going to trade him when the season opens up. theJ
Training camps I know i said i wouldn't do it, but what the hell. I want my 7'6" monster to be useful.
