Is this a big loss for the Ravens?

It’s at a position where the Ravens are arguably their deepest, with Marlon Humphrey, Marcus Peters, Jimmy Smith, Tavon Young, and Anthony Averett all going into the year (comfortably) ahead of Marshall on the depth chart.

Still sucks to see, kid was on IR most of last year too...hasn’t gotten much of a chance in his 2 years to show what he has.

And, like Averett, he's someone that received a lot of hype as a prospect at one point in his college career. If any team could turn him into a quality contributor, it's the Ravens.

He looked really sharp in coverage in 2018, and while he didn’t look as good in less time last year, there’s still a lot of hope/promise there.

If I remember correctly, he was viewed as too soft coming out and he isn't someone who's going to regularly run with your track-type WRs. However, he's flashed big-time ability dating back to his time at USC.

In terms of Marshall - yeah, you’re dead on. There was even talk of experimenting with him in a safety-type role to utilize his strengths and cover up his weaknesses - most of which you mentioned.
